It felt like visiting distant Nepali family. Romita is so loving a kind, I felt very at home straight away. Steve and Neeru were also lovely. So was all the staff. Right after my vipassana I could not have had a better place to be. Thank you so much. The tent was amazing, the food was delicious, I celebrated my birthday which was lovely. The spa massage was amazing and they helped me organize a hike in the national park. I miss you lovely amazing people already! See you in the Netherlands I hope.

A beautiful place to escape from the the heat and the hustle and noise of Khatmandu, whether for a day or two or longer. The views over the city by day and night alone make it worthwhile but there is much more. The cottages and tents are very comfortable and clean. The whole place radiates tranquility and calm. Hosts Steve and and Neeru are welcoming and very helpful. Great food and the staff are amazing. Access to nearby Shivapuri National Park is easily arranged and to follow up a day exploring the park with a massage or spa is a fitting end. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

My stay, though short—less than 24 hours—was thoroughly enjoyable. The hospitality was outstanding, and the locally grown food was exceptional. The massage, facial, and pickup/drop-off service to my hotel in Kathmandu were all excellent. After busy weeks of traveling for work, this solo trip was perfect for clearing my head and immersing myself in nature. It was the first time in years that I’ve seen snails and lizards going about their business. A truly refreshing experience.

Quiet and comfortable rooms (we had a 3-bedroom cottage), incredible food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, great views of the city, especially at night. Good day-hikes in the surrounding area. Child-friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get out of Kathmandu for a few days without travelling too far.

Amazing food, loveliest hosts & beautiful views of Kathmandu! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for somehwre relaxing and away from the busy town. You can get a massage or use the hot tub for extra relaxation. The 2 dogs Cookie and Max were also so cute and friendly!

Beautiful location nearly 2000m up on edge of Shivapiuri National park half hour from central Katmandu. Restaurant and terrace overlooking city which looks like a rolled out carpet below! Great cottage,very clean and lovely Nepali food and snacks. Staff super helpful and helped me out with few requests and problems. WiFi very good also,done some yoga,good breakfast and dinner included in price and excellent service. Mix of Nepali and Western guests, Owners Steve and Neeru are kind and generous hosts. Good little bar and nice selection of local beers and snacks. Great for a few days.Relaxing, quiet and peaceful. Had a great massage and hot tub as well. Lots of birds and extensive terraced gardens. Am definitely going back

Amazing stay, very peaceful and the food was 10/10! Had a variety of dishes. Such nice views and very friendly staff. Lovely to get away from the city, had a lovely oil massage which was the best I’ve had in my Asian travels. Very cute dogs too :)

If you are planning a trip in Nepal you should stop at the Shivapuri cottage! We stayed in a tent with a breathtaking view, the staff is amazing, the food is delicious and there are also many things to do nearby. If you love quiete places and nature you should try this wonderful place.

Un posto che è ottimale per chi vuole rilassarsi e godersi della vista di katmandu ma allo stesso tempo vicino a molti trekking molto carini. Il personale é gentilissimo e super disponibile ad aiutare in ogni necessità! La possibilità della jacuzzi offre un ulteriore motivo di visita, davvero bello.
