I booked Luxury Style Apartments on Friday 22nd April. This was a last minute booking for the period 23rd April - 25th April 2022. As instructed on the confirmation document, I contacted the Luxury Style Apartments on the morning of Saturday 23rd April before my flight left for the UK. It took several attempts to get through. I was advised to call again when I was en route from Budapest airport which I did only to be told the booking was cancelled and that they had no availability, so of course I wasn’t going to go there to check in, I booked somewhere else at extra cost to me. I decided to take this up on my return. Although Luxury Style Apartments was a non-refundable booking, this would have only applied had I cancelled the booking. Upon my return and after a while Luxury Style Apartments advised the apartment was available and that I did not show up. They refused to refund me. I therefore raised a Section 75 claim with my credit card company, was refunded the money and thought no more of it. The credit card company then charged me again citing that after investigation it had been confirmed the outcome with Luxury Style Apartments not to be in my favour. I have since attempted numerous times to call Luxury Style Apartments directly and the phone just rings out. I have no email address I can use to contact Luxury Style Apartments. They have also refused a data subject access request under GDPR and I am reporting them to the ICO. I am unable to prove the content of the call I made to Luxury Style Apartments en route from Budapest airport but this phone call lead me to re-book another hotel for the same duration - why would I do that? I have paid money for an apartment in good faith and followed all of the instructions given to me by them. Luxury Style Apartments have taken my money under false pretenses.
