Lovely stay This is a real gem of a property. It is clean and well maintained and is in a stunning location with a beautiful beer garden. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. We were only there for one night but would love to return for a longer stay in the summer.

During a roundtrip through the Shropshire area, this was the B&B I had the highest expectations for, because of the beautiful pictures and the elevated prices. Unfortunately, they weren't completely met. The B&B itself is located in a really nice area with stunning views and a large parking lot. The welcome, however, wasn't all that friendly; we didn't really now were to go and once we did find the bell at the back of the building, the check-in procedure was very businesslike and didn't have the "family-run"-vibe at all. The room itself was nice, with a very modern and clean bathroom, our window looked partially out on the roof and partially on the street. I think only the most expensive room had the beautiful view on the hills behind the building. We also had dinner there; we ordered a small bottle of prosecco as an aperitive, but we're given a large bottle in stead, we asked it really clearly so I think the waitress did it intentionally We had wanted to try the beers from the tap but unfortunately didn't get to do that, because we had the entire bottle of prosecco to clean out. Food could have been better, both dinner and breakfast. I was glad we only had to stay one night, because I think I would have gotten really frustrated.

Excellent location in the village of Bucknell , close to numerous walks.

Fabulous! 5 stars I cannot describe it any other way. They thought of everything and were perfect in any way, food, room, amenities and welcoming! Fantastic walks as well which start right off the premises.

Arrived and greeted by a lovely chap who ms also the owner. My room is absolutely immaculate and no expense has been spared. Towels are luxurious. Lovely and warm in the room. Bed is so comfy. Lovely chocolate to follow my cup of coffee. I cannot fault this place. Well done to all involved in its success.

Really lovely hotel. The food was superb.

Would not recommend as infill I complained our service was poor . The waitress placed out condiment of ketchup and mayonnaise right on the edge of table as she walked away the ketchup fell and smashed on the floor ! Going all over my daughter learher shoes , socks and trousers. My daughter stood up and we tried to clean her up .the same waitress turned around looked at us and looked I see the table and we aaaumws she would be back with an apology and cleaning equipment. No she walked past carrying plants to another table aa we still where trying to clean up mess . Still assuming she would return. No she did not I had to leave tabs and meal and ask her directly why are you not helping??? She said I didn’t know ??? She looked at my daughter as she jumped up And we stared cleaning shoe . She also looked under the table directly at the mess as she passed the second time ! The same waitress then spent the rest of evening sitting opposite us with her arm around family or friend at a table in the restaurant. I assume she was no longer working , even though ketchup was still floor .

The place is lovely - great bedrooms beautifully decorated and very clean. The restaurant is first class and the breakfast was superb. Free on-site parking. Would definitely stay again if needing a room in that area.

This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly welcoming staff. The bedrooms have everything you need and the food is superb. The pub is set in beautiful countryside with superb views. Can't recommend it enough. We will be back.

Second visit within a couples of months. So impressed the first time we had to return. Friendly happy staff. Food is fantastic!!!! Rooms are immaculately clean and well appointed. High quality towels and comfortable beds. Good selection of gin but need to expand their Rum collection. As only 2 bottles. This is quickly becoming our favourite place. Only negative is breakfast finishes at 9.30 on the Sunday as-it’s a break away from children and dogs it’s good to have lay in. We have missed breakfast twice and had to pop in to the cafe at Ahslea pools just a couple of miles down the road as they serve breakfast until 11.30.

We stayed for 3 nights 1 There was plenty of drawer space in the room I was able to fully unpack 2 Kettle, cafetiere, shortbread biscuits, chocolate and the usual teas and coffees were available. Also they let us use their fridge for our non-dairy milks. Fresh milk was available for those who want it. 3 there was a lovely view’ 4 Streaming service available on the television in the room 5 staff were friendly but not intrusive 6 Real ale which pleased my husband 7 large car park. 8 Breakfast was excellent. 9 restaurant food was also good but you have to book 10 there was a green night light in the loo. 11 bath was comfortable and had plenty of hot water 12 Resturant was small but food was delicious - needed to be booked
