Silverstone Golf Club and Hotel

I stayed at Silverstone Golf Club and Hotel with my boyfriend and overall we had a nice time — the views were absolutely stunning and the location is peaceful and relaxing. We had been told check-in was from 3pm, but our room wasn’t actually ready until 4. As someone who works in housekeeping, I completely understand how delays can happen, especially if things are busy — though we had let them know in advance, so it was a little inconvenient. The set-up is quite modern in that there’s no traditional reception, and all information is sent online. This wasn’t an issue for us personally, but it could be a bit confusing for guests who are less used to that kind of system. One part of the experience that really stood out (for the wrong reasons) was the customer service in the golf club bar. When we asked where the hotel was, an older lady working there was quite rude and unhelpful — it made us feel a bit awkward. Thankfully, a younger member of staff stepped in and was much more polite and accommodating. A real shame, as things like that can stick in your memory even when the stay itself is good. That said, the room was lovely and the stay overall was comfortable — just a couple of tweaks needed in terms of communication and staff attitude.

We stayed at the Golf Club for 4 days camping whilst we attended the British F1 Grand Prix, we cannot fault our stay at all, we were welcomed and shown to our tent pitch and the gentleman gave us directions to all the amenities on site. We used the clubhouse for our showers and toilets the staff did their best to keep these clean and tidy although some guests did not help in leaving the showers and toilets in a mess and the cleaner did her best. We had a breakfast in the clubhouse and all the staff were friendly and very helpful, the food was fantastic every day. The on site entertainment kept us all occupied after a long day at the circuit and we enjoyed the music whilst relaxing with a few drinks. All in all we would highly recommend the Golf Club to anyone who attends the Silverstone circuit. Thank you all for making our stay thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.. Room was lovely, clean, quiet, nice view, but the quality of the breakfast was the reason I deducted a star. Waited an age for the food to arrive and several item were overcooked. The orange juice was poor quality and because the water in the urn wasn’t boiling it affected the tea. However I would stay there again

Great room, location and food very good. Very much enjoyed the location and that it was quiet and very tranquil. Great place to stay and will use in the future

Lovely Cabin style rooms overlooking a pond and the golf course. Extremely friendly staff and members and the breakfast was lovely - and at a bargain price!
