Petrolo

The villa was perfect for 10 people, including 2 children. Marco and Mitilda were excellent and helped us make reservations, a wine tasting experience, located Francesca for cooking classes, and a tour of Petrolo tower. The villa is located about an hour from any of the main Tuscan cities and Bucine's train station had trains that could take you anywhere you wanted to go. Our overall experience at Petrolo was excellent and we would go back in a heartbeat!

The Villa at Petrolo was wonderful, spacious and very comfortable. The staff was outstanding, both friendly and efficient. We had a party of 18 people and everyone was raving as to how wonderful everything was. It was an all around success.

Villa Petrolo is a magical place to spend a holiday with family and friends. The house is a Tuscan dream and the team at Petrolo helpful and welcoming. We loved the tennis court, pool and grounds. Day trips to Florence from a nearby train station and a 40 minute drive for a day in Sienna makes for a full week although it is hard to tear yourself away from the Villa. An introduction to the wines of Petrolo and a history of the Villa was organised by Marco and I highly recommend Francesca who made the most amazing meals for us on our celebration evenings. The walk up through the woods to the watch tower on the hill was rewarded with a spectacular 360 degree view across the surrounding countryside. A very memorable trip.

Villa Petrolo is our new home away from home in Tuscany. There’s too much to say about the level of service, the extraordinary beauty surrounding you, the history included everywhere on the grounds. And, all of it works perfectly due to their amazing team of professionals taking care of us every single day, while also making the Villa and grounds a showplace that is one-of-a-kind in Arezzo (between Florence and Siena). We made a new, larger famiglia with Marco, Laura, Francesca, Juliette, and so many others who took such great care of us everyday. Our family of nearly 40 people (yes, FORTY) stayed at Villa Petrolo and La Costa on the grounds for nearly two weeks. THANK YOU, Marco. THANK YOU, Laura, and THANK YOU, Francesca. We held a wedding vow renewal onsite that none of us will ever forget with an extraordinary wedding feast and traditional Italian wedding cake. We had breakfast every day. Dinner a few nights prepared, including a pasta making extravaganza for the entire group outdoors – on the perfect day, followed by a delicious dinner prepared from our creations. There are not enough stars to recommend highly enough Marco and his team of extraordinary professionals at this magnificent Tuscan Villa, winery, and property. The folks on our trip ranged in age from 3 years old to 82, and this team of professionals grew to know each one of us, and to anticipate our quirks, our concerns, our needs. Marco thought of everything we may need. A local florist shop for a wedding vow renewal bouquet on the day of the event; a charming Gelato Truck to end our festivities on pasta & pizza making day; Villa Petrolo estate wine for the house each day for whomever may want to end the day watching the sun go down in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. By the end of the trip, we had made dear friends. We will never forget you all who took such good care of us – in a place many in our group had never been before. You must call or email them if you are visiting Tuscany. They are the absolute BEST, and you will be glad you did.

In September 2022, I was lucky enough to celebrate my wedding at Villa Petrolo. I cannot say enough great things about this villa, Marco, Laura and Team. Villa: The location, views, accommodations and facilities are 10/10. The staff are amazing at always keeping the space clean and beautiful without interfering with any festivities. We opted to have breakfast every morning and what a great decision that was. Laura and her team baked us fresh croissants everyday, there was a different type of cake everyday (that she kindly left out for us to have tea/coffee in the afternoons) and an amazing spread of ham, cheeses, eggs, salads etc. We also asked Laura to cater some dinners for us (one day even asking pretty late in the day and she was kind enough to help us). They set up tables for us in different locations of the villa so we could enjoy all the beautiful views that the villa had to offer. Depending on the type of dinner we were looking for they either had a beautiful Buffett for us or they served us at long beautiful tables. There is a beautiful pool deck with loungers that we spent a few days just enjoying as well as a tennis court. We had 33 guests in Petrolo main house and 10 in Vigna (the other villa on the property) and every guest gushed about the week we spent there being the best holiday they have ever had. Wedding: Marco was amazing with putting us in touch with a Wedding Planner (Pia - from Olive in Tuscany) and I could not recommend Pia more. Coming from England I wasn't sure about needing a wedding planner or not but Pia helped me with EVERY detail of EVERY day (7 full days) at Petrolo. She helped with transportation of our guests to the villa, food and drinks, tours each day, wine tastings and most importantly every detail of the most beautiful wedding celebration in the gardens of Petrolo. If you are considering Petrolo for your wedding in Tuscany - look no further. We had 76 guests which is quite large for a destination wedding and it was incredible. The bridal suite (where my husband and I stayed all week) has a gorgeous big balcony that looks over the rolling hills of Tuscany. We thank Petrolo and team for the most amazing week of our lives. It was a dream that I wish we could relive everyday.

We rented Villa Petrolo for our wedding in May of 2022, and we could not have chosen a more perfect location. Not only was the Villa and the rest of the property absolutely stunning, but Marco, Laura and Francesca and the rest of the staff were amazing. They were so wonderful the entire weekend and made sure that us and our 30 guests were well taken care of. Every meal that we had them organize and cook for us (breakfasts, lunches, pizza party, rehearsal dinner, wedding dinner) was so delicious (some of the best food we had in Italy!!) and the presentation was always perfect. They were also so helpful on the day of the wedding moving furniture and helping to coordinate with the vendors. Our entire wedding weekend turned out perfectly and we truly couldn't have done it without their help. Petrolo will forever be such a special place to us and we can't wait to return.
