Comfortable beds and safe location. Center of old town. Highly recommend. Very kind and helpful hosts. Carmen and Fernando are awesome. This was my very first experience in a hostel. Couldn’t be happier. You won’t go wrong staying there. Many events available.

I was excited to stay at Bedsy Hostel because of its glowing reviews, but my experience didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Upon arrival, I was overwhelmed by the numerous rules and access codes. First, I had to navigate a double-door entry with different codes for each door, and then I discovered that the elevator was tiny and old. Opting for the lift meant facing a series of codes to get to my room, which took me over an hour to figure out, especially since I didn't receive any prior information via email. Being from Japan and without a local SIM card made it even more challenging to communicate. The price for the shared room accommodating over 16 people felt quite steep, especially when I found a much more affordable option just an 11-minute walk away: Piata Unirii Cozy Inn. There, I had a cleaner, quieter experience in a room with only four other women, which made me feel significantly safer. Another downside was the luggage policy; after 10 PM, the hostel locks up, preventing guests from accessing their bags until morning. Additionally, I found that many services came with extra fees, which contributed to an overall feeling of being controlled. While I appreciate organization and attention to detail, the strict rules made my stay feel more like a boot camp than a welcoming hostel. Unfortunately, my interactions with the female receptionist felt unfriendly and transactional. When I asked questions, I often felt judged or dismissed unless I was willing to pay extra for assistance. My experience here was a stark contrast to my stays in over 100 hostels across 164 countries—I've never encountered such a negative atmosphere before. In summary, if you prefer a strict environment with many rules, you might enjoy Bedsy Hostel. However, for those who value a more relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, I would recommend exploring other options. My experience here was far from enjoyable, and I would not recommend it based on my stay.

Very cosy hotel. Friendliest hostel I have ever been. Warm hearted hosts Carmen & Fernando. Location is in the midst of old town where all the magic happens. It was a solo trip but felt family because the hosts make you feel that way. They organise activities. Here you can not get bored People of all ages..no age limitations. Met some nice people here from Canada, Georgia, UK, France, Japan, Slovenia. Oh and there is free coffee. For hungry people downstairs there is a Gyros restaurant..tasty food. I will be back 🤩. When thinking of affordable clean happy and cosy place in Romania..think Bedsy.

Une honte ! Arnaque leurs clients en prétendant qu'ils ne se sont jamais présentés afin de se payer deux fois le prix de la réservation (en cash à l'arrivée + le montant total dû à la réservation prétendument non honorée). Si vous leur demandez une facture avant votre départ, ils prétextent un bug au niveau de leur système informatique et ne vous proposent aucune solution. Quelques minutes plus tard, non contents de ne pouvoir voler votre argent en toute tranquillité, le gérant vient alors pour vous agresser physiquement (je suis très sérieux) et vous mettre dehors à coups de poings et de pieds et de valise jetée dans le couloir ! De ma vie, je n'ai jamais vu un établissement "hôtelier" où le gérant ose frapper ses clients lorsqu'ils essaient de ne pas se faire escroquer...C'est pourtant ce qui m'est arrivé ! Par ailleurs, la plupart des chambres donnent directement sur la partie de la rue où la fête et la musique se poursuivent toute la nuit, ce qui rend le sommeil très difficile. Tout cela à un prix largement plus élevé que la concurrence...

This hostel was fab! Location is amazing right in the centre of old town square. Walk out the door down the steps and you are on the doorstep to restaurants and night life/pubs. Shopping malls a taxi away (I would recommend bolt app much cheaper than a taxi on the street.) Fernando and carmen are the hostel owners and are amazing! As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a shot and beer. This was a nice extra touch. Very welcoming and make you feel at home, they offer free walking tours, coffee in the morning and head out as a group in the evenings. This was cool! Number is left at reception for any issues during the night. Beds are super comfortable, we got lucky as we had an empty room for 1 night. Facilities are clean. I would definitely return here with the location and hospitality of Fernando and carmen. My suggestions for feedback would be to potentially in the future add curtains to beds for extra privacy. Thanks again for a lovely stay and being authentically yourselves so kind and welcoming 🤍 ( highly recommend a full day at therme spa! Bran castle was cool but nothing exciting on the inside!) jenna x

Fernando and Carmen made me feel at home in Bucharest from the first moment. The hostel is super clean, central, offers good price and it’s easy to meet other fellow travelers. Would totally recommend!

I had booked three nights in Bucharest at the end of a trip and was looking forward to staying here. Unfortunately my flight from Istanbul was delayed making me miss my connection to Bucharest. I contacted the hostel to inform them this was happening (3 hours before I was set to arrive but the earliest point at which I had any phone reception) and I would be showing up the next day. I later received an email that as I was considered a no show they cancelled my whole booking (following the terms and conditions accepted in the non-flexible non-refundable booking - fair enough) but also I was ‘now no longer welcome in our property’. The wording felt bit odd, but as there are not many good hostels in old town Bucharest, I tried to book again and then was told my booking was cancelled and I couldn’t stay there AT ALL (I’d paid another booking fee). When my mum followed up on the phone later they told her, I am PERMANENTLY BLACKLISTED because of the no show even though I had informed them of the delay before and was not responsible for it. When I asked more about why, the owner actually put the phone down on my mum (after threatening to charge both bookings onto my credit card)! Please know: this is not a friendly, understanding place you can rely on if there are issues and issues (delays, flight cancellations etc) which are happening more and more in global travel. This is also not a place that will be nice to you on your first independent trips and was the cause of much anxiety and tears. DO NOT BOOK HERE

Hostel Is in main Old Town,very Good area.It Is very clean,since It Is a Brand New strucute.Fernando & Carmen are very Great persons,they know to be hospitality,take care of all customer like a friend.I recommend for your stay in Bucarest.

Bedsy is a clean and comfortable, simple hostel with great location. The owners are super friendly and helpful. We stayed here a couple of times while going back and forth in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova. Good vibes!
