Emil Balaban Luxury Apart-Hotel

This place was legit. It is, as the name suggests, a hotel that is apartment style. Check-in was contactless and digital, which made it easy to do online. A code was given to us when we checked in so we could enter it into a keypad and voila, our hotel. The apartment/room was spacious with a small kitchen (microwave, espresso machine, sink), combined living room and bedroom, and bathroom. The espresso machine was the nicest touch - easy to drink coffee in the morning and the host provide a snack along with it. On the coffee table was a booklet of things to do/eat/say in Romania that was brief but thorough, and really useful in deciding what to eat (papanasi!). The bathroom was nice - a double-headed shower - and large. We were traveling for two weeks, bouncing from hotel to hotel, and this was my favorite place to stay given how comfortable and quiet it was. My one regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
