I booked this hotel in December of 2023 and I didn't realize I had booked through a third party and not the hotel itself. Our trip was planned for October 2024 and a week before this trip my grandma passed away so I tried to cancel this hotel and they denied a refund. Not only am I out $400 but I couldn't even go on my trip and enjoy my time away. It's too bad the hotel wouldn't allow this refund and now I know for future purchases not to use a third party and not to book with this hotel.

My husband was staying here out of town for work along with a roommate. Staff never came In to clean room even after asked, their response was we will try. At times he had 20-30 towels wet on bathroom floor, the staff did come in to take towels but never changed sheets, when I came to visit my husband his room smelled and the white sheets they were sleeping on were BROWN. My husband had C/O the room and service so when we came into town we avoided this hotel and stayed at another one near by ..

One of the biggest reasons we booked MyPlace was to be able to cook our own food. The kitchen was empty and required us to rent dishes from the front desk with a mug costing $1. Would not have booked this if we knew ahead of time!

My Place was exceptionally clean. The reception and were friendly. If we are in Brookings, again we will definitely stay at this hotel.

I was unsure upon booking, but there were not a lot of choices. The hotel was clean and comfortable. After checking out I felt I might have left an important bracelet behind. Upon calling and talking with Paul, he followed through by checking, finding it, calling me back and asking how to send it to me. I appreciate him going the extra mile to get it returned and would definitely stay here again.

I’ve stayed at several MyPlace locations and room was as expected. Great location for a quick 1 night stay. Room was very clean and no odors - yay! Front desk clerk accommodated my request for a first floor room. Only “issue” was the side entry door on the east side didn’t automatically lock despite a sign stating “for the safety of our guests a room key card is required for entry”. The door on the west side did lock. As a female traveling alone, this always makes me feel a little uneasy.

I was new to My Place hotels and will definitely seek them out in the future. The kitchenette was most welcome. You need to bring your own dishes. The toaster was a great surprise! A laundromat on site with clothes basket in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Staff couldn’t have been more gracious. Would be a great place to spend more than one day.

The gentleman who checked us in after midnight on a Friday night/Saturday morning was extraordinarily attentive. He made sure that our experience was professionally handled on all measures. He assured us of cleanliness, safety, and price accuracy. The location was extremely convenient. Right off of the main highway and well-lit. Easy to locate and in the neighborhood of gas stations and eateries. You couldn’t ask for better. The price for a weekend was a little bit higher than the NEARBY motels but it proved to be the best option for us as nearby had roaches. The cleanliness of the building, room, and bathroom were on point! I’m a picky one to please whenever it comes to cleanliness (I’m a home inspector and professional house cleaner) and this location made the mark on meticulous maintenance. Thank you!
