Skye Basecamp Hostel, Broadford Bay, Isle of Skye

I had planned a 3 night stay but extended it to 4, as I had such a fabulous time. The good weather did help admittedly. Excellent self-catering facilities, lots of equipment and space to cook and dine. There was quite a diverse group of people when I was there, which was really nice and everyone was very friendly. A good place to socialise and make friends. Rooms and toilets and showers were very clean. Very comfortable beds. Staff were often on hand to give advice. I would highly recommend Skye Basecamp.

Lovely beds and showers, wonderful staff, great storage and drying room. Great lounge with pool table and comfy chairs. Kitchen fully equipped. So handy for the supermarket too. Met some lovely folk. Thanks all! **********************

My sister and I stayed for one night but wished we stayed longer! Very cosy vibe, accessible by bus. Close to Portree and hikes in the area. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Close to the main road, but just a few meters off, so the sound of the traffic was quite quiet.

Dit is de beste hostel ervaring die we ooit hebben gehad. Er is vriendelijk personeel, de keuken is erg ruim en er was genoeg ruimte om ons eigen eten op te bergen. De douches zijn echt fantastisch. We hebben dankbaar gebruik gemaakt van de droogruimte voor onze natte kleding en schoenen na de regenachtige dagen op Skye. De hostelhond Cleodie is echt fantastisch! Ook de woonkamer en conservatory waren erg comfortabel om in te zitten. Er is gratis koffie en thee. Ook met de bus is het goed bereikbaar. Wij kunnen dit hostel aan iedereen aanraden!

Skye Basecamp is an excellent base for exploring the Skye munros. I was booked in with Skye Guides and this was the perfect base to return to each day after walking. The kitchen is very well equipped, rooms are clean and the atmosphere of being around other walkers is great - I got chatting to a lot of the other guests. The lounge is great to hang around and relax and read a book. There is a drying room for drying off any wet kit from your walk too. Staff are all very friendly. There are plenty of restaurants, a chippy and a Co-op just 5 min walk away for shopping. Definitely recommend booking a guide from Skye Guides if you're going up into the Cuillin to do munros.

Perfect spot to rest up, clean up and wash up! Staff were so welcoming and friendly. I have nothing bad to say about Skye Basecamp was very clean, warm and cosy. Exactly what I needed after completing the Skye trail. As soon as I checked in I got shown around the premises so knew exactly where everything I needed was.
