I wanted to stay somewhere central and affordable in Brighton, just for the night. The room was clean and had everything I needed. I managed to park in front of the hotel for an extra fee. I have 2 small remarks to mention: the shower handle was broken, and I had to shower through the main hose and the TV wasn't working. Overall, if you are looking for somewhere basic and with good price, it's not a bad option.

Great Value for money, location was perfect right next to the beach. The room was small but for 2 people staying one night we didn’t need anything more. Would stay again!

An uncomfortable stay for me. Although the location is great and close to the pier, the quality of the hotel is questionable. The service upon entry was fine and very fast. The rooms are well-sized but unclean and dusty. The chest of drawers in my room were full of old food and cigarettes, and the sheets provided had moths. The bathroom is clean and okay. The walls are thin so I could hear people’s every word from outside the room at night. Overall, as a young woman travelling, I felt unsafe and unfortunately will have to find elsewhere next time.

This is my favorite place to stay in Brighton! It’s quiet and laid back, the location is amazing and it’s cheaper to stay here than anywhere else. Definitely recommend.

This place has been a nightmare they agreed a long term stay at a fixed price, only to increase my rent after two months by £100 for the following three months. I was not aware there would be works as a building site, inside and out for months the noise from works carried out, included week ends and bank holidays. The dust dirt and tools left on stairs a serious health and safety hazard, the scaffolding has no security at all leaving my safety at night in particular, with the upmost concern and fears. My concerns to management ignored completely, in the end had not choice but to leave. Fire doors left open for last two months, the kitchen for the use of long tern clients like my self, filthy beyond belief the fridge filthy beyond belief, had my food stolen in the end for last 9 weeks I did not use the kitchen at all.

Absolutely awful! Please don’t go here. I know it’s a cheap price but seriously, do not go here. Me and my partner turned up to the hotel covered in scaffolding. Even the scaffolding guys working laughed when we turned up. I won’t write what they said. Anyway we couldn’t have sea view room because the scaffolds were there so they showed us another room at the back. Once you’ve walked up 500 steps you then get to a tiny room that looked nothing like the pics. There was dirt around the shower. We just couldn’t stay and went and booked into another hotel at the cost of £225. We woke up refreshed and clean. I was so upset that I demanded to speak to the owner via phone who said he would give me £20 refund. Absolutely joke! It’s a really horrible hotel, dirty and had an awful smell throughout. Even the pillows smelt of cooking for some reason!

Wouldn't stay here again. We stayed at this hotel for 1 night, as we came down for a festival. On arrival there was confusion over our names (two people with the same name) which lead to a mix up in rooms and a car parking space. This was frustrating given that I had just paid to park, then ended up being refunded and spent ages finding somewhere else to park, however we understood how that could have happen. We moved to our allocted room, as per our booking and my partner noticed the window did not have a lock. We did not feel safe staying in a room without a window lock, especially as the property currently has scaffolding up. We were moved to a other room (this now being the third room), the situation with the window being the same. We explained that whilst we appreciated it was difficult to open it from the outside, it was absolutely doable. Not only were our belongings unsafe whilst we were out, but we felt unsafe at night. Why bother having a door lock if you don't do the same on the windows? We returned to our original room. So after all these issues and 4 room changes, this delayed us on getting ready and meant what was supposed to be a really fun exciting night, became so unnecessary and avoidably stressful. The bed was okay, but squeaks every time you remotely moves and the decoration in the hotel is okay if you aren't looking hard enough. I guess you pay for what you get. The hotel is obviously getting a face lift externally, but it still has alot to be desired.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! We booked this hotel as a last minute break thinking it would be a great option with it being cheap. Biggest regret! On arrival we were asked to show id which I was more than happy to do so they can confirm it’s me very understandable. Then they asked if I could email photos of our id’s to a random email claiming it was for their buisness. I straight up refused as there is no reason for them to have it, the man then showed me a random piece of paper with a blurry printed photo of an id with loads of writing over it that he moved so quick I didn’t even get a glance. After constant back and off of me and my partner refusing he said he would call the landlord. He did infact call someone but they spoke in a different language so I am unsure what was said. The phone call sounded very aggressive but after hanging up he didn’t even mention the whole id thing again and proceeded to give me our keys. Finally got to the room after all that and the room was awful! It was tiny, the bed was rock hard and the shower had no pressure at all i’m sure rain could clean you better. Also the TV remote had no batteries in at all and when we asked for some they said they had none for us inferring we would have to provide them ourselves. Not happy with this stay at all, wouldn’t recommend.

Dirty Not a great stay, was very dirty, carpet had so many stains the seating part by the window which could have been lovely to look out to the sea was ripped and really filthy, as for the shower, we didn't have one, a slow trickle of water but the main reason didn't have a shower was because it was so dirty didn't look like it had been cleaned for months.

Avoid at all costs!!!! I booked a double room they tried to give me a single covered in flies when there was clearly two of us. Room was then changed to what I originally booked but then room was again filled with flies everywhere. Found a secret camera in one of the ceiling lights. The bathroom had to air vents. The window was full of mould. The rooms surrounding us were very loud during the night due to the thin walls. As the hotel is on a slope, our room was slanted with the head of the bed descending. Just a terrible dirty experience. Never again!!!!

A little tired…. Bed was comfy (even if did fill room) I was expecting a single but got a double which was a plus. I had a good nights sleep. Parts are looking tired and the floor in bathroom needed repairs and the sink was literally falling off the wall…put my hand on it whilst brushing my teeth and literally moved! I hope they spend time now season coming to an end that they rectify these issues. Only mirror was above sink so couldn’t really see what I was wearing, but plug socket by bed near door to bathroom, meant I could straighten my hair.

Not what I expected Bad points: Arrived at the hotel to find that my booking was not on the list despite booking back in January. The staff member then asked us to wait outside as there was no indoor seating area meaning we had to wait with our luggage. After approx 15 minutes the staff member advised us he ‘found a room’ for us and gave us the key. The hotel is small and very compact, spread over 3 floors. The room I specifically stayed in felt very small and there was not much standing height. The bathroom was tiny and there was a small sink in the corner that was too small to do anything with. The room appears to need a revamp as there is dried marks on the wall that looks like old condensation. The room I stayed in looked nothing like the pictures. There was also a brown smear near the bed frame that I washed off myself, I refrained from flagging this to the staff as I knew there would be no other room to transfer to as the hotel was at capacity. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable and the room was overal very stuffy Good points: very close to city centre and beach front
