Southcliffe Hotel

We ate many meals over the week, Steak pie awesome.. Mixed grill awesome. Breakfast awesome. Pork dinner awesome. Haddock and fries for the lad awesome. Mississippi chicken awesome. All meals and desserts are lovely. The staff are brilliant Jan in the restaurant and George is a good bloke also. I couldn't recommend the quality of food and the value for money. I'll be back some day

Stayed for 1 night and can not complain at all nice room and breakfast was absolutely spot on great value for money. Special mention to the lovely Penny who seemed to do everything from greeting, cleaning, waitress, the lot gave it a real friendly touch. Would definitely book again. breakfast was lovely too well cooked n excellent portion

Took 1 hour for meals to arrive, peas were rotten and so i left them. The baked potato vile soggy and partially decomposed , the chips were old refried, omelette edible just, prawns ok. Coffee instant used to make cappuccino AVOID THIS RESTAURANT

Honestly the rudest most ignarant host imaginable. Cant do toasties. Eh? How hard can they be? Thwyre on menu! Sandwiches takes 50 minutes. Shocking. Avoid at alk cist esoecually if going to Brid Spa.

Brilliant hotel, great location. Despite the bad reviews, the staff were in my opinion lovely. The seriously could not do enough for us. The room/s we had were immaculate. When I say rooms, that's merely because our train was cancelled, so at very short notice Sarah and her mum were able to accommodate us at the very last minute.

On arrival a young man greeted us with “I can’t give you keys without cash” which put me off straight away as really quite rude on arrival of your guests. I sat and waited with our bags while my husband went to find an atm. When we finally got into the room it was absolutely discusting.. so so dirty. I never complain and I never write reviews but I’m amazed this hotel is still open. I’m assuming it’s still attracting guests due to its great location for the spa and guests will probably just cope with it for the one night. It being dated wasn’t even an issue but the dirt!! Just pick up a cloth. People don’t want to spend their hard earned money on a place like this. Ridiculous at £85 a night considering the beautiful places I’ve stayed for less!
