Heidi's Inn

Very nice, quaint motel... The grounds are beautiful, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable lots of extras outdoor fire pits, pets are welcome ping-pong tables. Pool. And great price for everything that you get. Highly recommend.

The bathroom flooded, ruined a luggage bag, due to the toilet tank leaking into the bowl that would not allow the water to drain. Management blamed the guest for the toilet problems and we had to fight for the next 2 nights refund since we were not offered any other rooms for the next 2 nights. We had to make last minute reservations at another hotel.

There are two sections of this inn/motel - the updated and the outdated. The website photos represent only the remodeled buildings and grounds, which are lovely and rustic. The older building, we're we stayed, sits by a busy road and faces the parking lot. The cement walkway was spotted with rust. There were no chairs out front, not that the view beckoned us. When I asked the clerk to explain the difference, he whitewashed (aka lied) his response by saying there was none, except that regular customers typically booked "those" (remodeled) rooms first, which proves they were different as night and day. When we checked in the clerk reminded us that no smoking was permitted and the maid would know if we did! What are we, 12 years old? He never explained the amenities (no pamphlet was available in the office or room, so he suggested looking at their website), handed me our key, and lacked the courtesy of telling us to enjoy our stay. Our room had a kitchen with a decent fridge (with a huge 5x5 ice tray), no packages of coffee, few dishes, only one glass, a broken dish drainer, typical unattractive blackout curtains, a dirty sponge, corroded oven vent, unremarkable furniture, no iron, dirty kitchen floor, etc. Some neighbors were loud, e.g., those directly next door sounded like they were throwing furniture at the walls, and there were elderly Hells Angels sitting nearby spewing filthy language. We witnessed one guest screaming at the clerk re: a "crazy lady" who was disturbing his family. Further, there was a note in our room instructing guests to use their cell phones to reach the front desk; this was the first inn/hotel/motel I've ever seen without a landline. The Continental breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs, hot but not cold cereal, and muffins. If you choose to visit, I recommend booking an updated room, or all bets are off.

Far surpassed my expectations for a highway motel in this area. Room was perfectly clean in excellent condition with new flooring and a totally renovated modern bathroom. Mattress was new, firm, and very comfortable. Multiple types of high-quality pillows as provided in some high-end hotels. The table in my room was even decorated with fresh flowers. The TV was new, large, and high quality with a full cable channel package and guide (not a minimal channel package that many hotels provide). The continental breakfast was far superior to chain hotels. Sunroom-type breakfast area was very pretty with a really nice fireplace. He innkeeper was friendly and really cared that my every need was met. This is not a fancy place, but the quality is significantly better than the area's brand name hotel chains which are all pretty rundown according to reviews. Heidi's Inn is a real hidden gem. You can't go wrong here. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

We really loved this place. It will be our go-to place on the way to Long Island from several states away. This place had the best lighting in the room -- more lights than any place I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at many hotels and motels over the years. The room has absolutely everything you need. The only downsides are that you can't double-lock your door -- it just closes and it's locked, and there aren't great shampoos for your use, so it's a good idea to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion if you need them. The room had an easy chair and table and chairs, which is better than what most hotel chains offer! We already have reservations to stay there again. I can't comment on the breakfast because we decided to sleep in.

We stopped here on a bike trip from Albany to NYC. It’s the perfect motel. Rooms were super clean, the staff was super friendly, the oatmeal was made with milk in a crockpot and the place has red dahlias everywhere!! It’s not a Hilton but we weren’t expecting that. The ride from trail to motel is on busy streets which is annoying, but they are next door to one of the best Mexican restaurants we ever eaten at. Great food, good ambiance, nice views. Heidi’s is the perfect stop.Ask for a room up the hill- a little less road noise.

The room was wonderful new tile in the bath owners were very friendly Istayed for a week and then 1 day after that Enjoyed it very much[PAT ACOCELLA] I go to Brewster once a year and always stay here The beds are comfortable and the room is always clean

This place is a motel, worn and old. Towels were awful, soap was scratchy, bathtub was chipped inside everywhere and the bathroom door couldn’t even close because it was warped. There was old coffee cans outside each door for smokers. If it were half the price I would have rated higher because it was way too overpriced for what it is.

Had such a great stay at Heidis this week! And had such a nice surprise to see Jenn back...was so happy to see her!! She always make our stay so nice and feel so comfortable!! Thanks Jenn for another great vaca!! will be back soon!!!
