Hotel Europa

Wir waren jetzt bereits zum zweiten Mal für eine Skiwoche im Hotel Europa. Die Familien Suiten sind recht neu und sehr sauber, modern und perfekt für eine Familie von 4 Personen (zwei Schlafzimmer mit Verbindungstüre und zwei Badezimmer). Das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Durch die Pandemie gab es leider einige Änderungen im Speisesaal, das Frühstücksbuffet wurde von einer Person bedient und das Gewünschte jeweils an den Gast abgegeben. Dadurch bildeten sich oft Schlangen und auch die Auswahl des "Buffets" war leider nicht mehr so reichhaltig wie vor 3 Jahren. Aber wir haben trotzdem immer noch gut und ausreichend gefrühstückt. Der Kaffee ist nach wie vor top! Im Hotel gibt es auch einen Skiverleih (Rossignol) - es wird alles sehr schnell und unkompliziert abgewickelt. Das ganze Hotel ist sehr sauber - ein grosser Dank an die Putz-Equipe! Ein neuer Aussenanstrich oder Renovation der Fassade wäre zu empfehlen, da das Hotel von aussen doch "sehr in die Jahre gekommen" aussieht, während es innen dann ein ganz anderes Bild vermittelt. Alles in allem nach wie vor Super Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und haben bereits wieder für die nächste Wintersaison gebucht!

Wonderful staff, Perfect Amenities Booked it last minute and showed up to find a friendly crew checking us in. Due to a last minute arrival, our room was not ready right away. However, within moments we were whisked away to our room which was very clean, comfy and easy to get to. Being on motorcycles we like to keep them close. The super cool and sweet manager allowed us to park near the entrance in a safe and secure spot. Very grateful for this! They hosted us with smiles and were very kind during our quick trip. It was my husband’s 40th birthday and while we went to the sauna and steam room (great after a long ride) we returned to our room with a bottle of Prosecco on ice from the staff to celebrate. Gestures like this go a long way and people in hospitality make hotels what they are. This was kind and we were so tickled to be seen and cared for by the lovely team at the hotel. You can’t beat the location - walkable to restaurants and shops and also at the base of the mountain. Highly recommend.

The hotel is very close to the Cretaz chair lift, only a two minute walk away. Next to Ctetaz chair lift is the Campetto chair lift, which leads to a small blue slope, and also the magic carpet and a baby blue slope. Hence this is an EXCELLENT choice if you are a beginner and intend to make use of the magic carpet at first. Breakfast was great! Special mention to MOULDI who did his absolute BEST to make sure we were extremely taken care of from the moment we walked into the breakfast room until we walked out. He would always hurry to clean a table next to the huge windows for us, even if there were tens of tables cleaned and available in the middle of the room. I absolutely enjoyed the fresh coffee the baristas made for us on request each morning. The food was very good, and there was quite a good choice. The rooms were quite a let down. We were on the third floor. Room is EXTREMELY small, with no wardrobe. There are only two tables available, with 3 small shelves and a metre long rack to hang a couple of jackets above one of the tables. No hooks available on the walls. Also please note out of the 3 shelves, the uppermost one (2M above the floor) was FULL of dust, very obvious it has never been cleaned. View of the mountains was nice. Otherwise, the room was cleaned well. It's quite a modern and beautiful hotel. Also special mention to KYRIL (maybe it's misseplt!), whom we rented our ski equipment from, within the hotel, who was so fun to speak to, so knowledgeable of the sport and helped us immensely; as well as the MAINTENANCE guy (bald, light eyes) - sorry we did not get the name! We speak very limited Italian and he speaks limited English but he always greeted us and asked how our holiday was going every single time he saw us. We also had a small issue with the bathroom door; he came to resolve this immediately. Receptionists were also great, they always greeted us with a smile. Check in and check out were very smooth and they were ready to help us with any query we had. Very recommended, and look forward to stay again (but please put more storage options in the room for the bulky clothes!).
