The hotel accepted my booking with arrival time 00:30, and then I was asked to pay the municipal tax so they could arrange the check-in. After a brief discussion the hotel told me that I wouldn’t be able to take my room and they rejected checking me in at the agreed time, claiming the general check-in policy until 00:00. I was given no alternatives, no options to arrange that at an extra fee maybe and I was asked to book a different hotel literally 20 minutes before my arrival. The customer service was also slow and rude and they did not pick up the phone even though I called three times before they closed the reception. The hotel decided not to honor the booking but also not to refund my booking / give an alternative. Lack of professionalism and basic customer service skills from the staff that contacted me.
