You'll have no regrets staying at the Thimble Islands B&B. It is located in the quaint community of Stony Creek just outside of New Haven. The location bids you to unwind, unplug, and relax. The hosts, Julie & Tony, are truly amazing and make you feel like both royalty and family, all at the same time. They truly have mastered the art of hospitality! Make sure to get tips from the hosts on where to go and what to do - they were so helpful! A quick 20-30 minute drive and you can discover several "Hallmark" towns to stroll, sip coffee at a cafe, shop, and dine in historic and excellent restaurants. The rooms at the B&B are well-appointed and extremely comfortable. Waking up to the sight of the Thimble Islands and Long Island Sound, having breakfast on the patio and then wine & charcuterie in the afternoons make this place a little piece of heaven. We had no idea how much we needed this long-weekend at Thimble Islands B&B, it was truly perfect. We could have stayed there much longer!

This place is a hidden gem. Charming and quaint, with amazing views of the Sound and the Thimble Islands. Julie & Tony are consummate hosts. On our fist night there, they invited us to sit by the fireplace for wine and cheese, and both mornings they spoiled us with a delicious home-made breakfast that we enjoyed while enjoying the beautiful view of the Sound. Tony and Julie are so warm and welcoming. Their home’s location is quiet and secluded with an amazing view of the Thimble Islands. The location also offers easy access to walking trails nearby and the village of stony Creek. We had a lovely breakfast with many options and fresh fruit. The coffee was strong and plentiful. We stayed in the Heron suite, which has its own separate sitting room w/tv.

This is a very special bed and breakfast. Julie and Tony are excellent innkeepers who ensured that we had a wonderful time in this beautiful corner of Connecticut. We stayed in the Heron suite which had fantastic views of the water and the Thimble Islands. We also enjoyed the breakfasts and the opportunity to chat with our hosts whose recommendations for local sightseeing were much appreciated.

This gem of a house sits on the most spectacular settings—right on the water. One of the most beautiful views we’ve ever seen. The owners are lovely and friendly and super accommodating. Breakfast is a treat—a mushroom gorgonzola omelette or crème brûlée french toast. It is well worth the trip.

Thimble Islands Bed & Breakfast is the perfect place to forget the stresses of the work week and enjoy the comfort of seaside living. At the water's edge, your windows afford spectacular vistas of the famed Thimble Islands (Rogers, Belden and Lewis are the closest). It's a short walk to Stony Creek village with its museum, theater, cafes, and quaint gift shops. (A guided tour of the islands aboard the Sea Mist is a must.) Your gracious hosts at the B&B, Julie & Tony Broom, will see to your every need. The breakfasts are sensational.

This was by far the best B+B we have ever stayed at. It actually did not feel like staying in a B+B, but rather, in Julie and Tony's house (which it is) as their personal guests. The house is modern, updated and very well maintained. It is also very tastefully decorated and furnished. Outdoors is also expertly maintained. Julie and Tony were extremely gracious hosts, and the location is simply amazing with the beautiful views of The Thimble Islands right outside. We hope to get back soon.

We got married at the Thimble Islands bed-and-breakfast…. What a wonderful experience! The owners, Julie and Tony, were amazing. We had the time of our life. Breakfasts tasted so good with beautiful views of the Long Island sound and thimble Islands. Julie and Tony went out of their way to make sure everything was a perfect experience for the guests. The egret room we stayed in was spacious and very clean and comfy. We look forward to going back to the bed-and-breakfast every year❤️. Thank you so much for making our wedding so special.

Our stay was over the top! Julie and Tony are so friendly and helpful. Accommodations superb, with breathtaking views. Delicious breakfasts. Charming town. They even made dinner reservations for us at a fabulous Italian restaurant. We were sad to say goodbye. Needless to say, we highly recommend it!
