"I rarely leave bad reviews unless I'm extremely dissatisfied. The location is indeed good, which is why I booked it. However, when we arrived on Friday before closing time, there was no one at the front desk. I'm not sure if your accommodation standard is a hotel or a guesthouse. If it's a hotel, the service standard is severely lacking. The room was triangular, making it difficult to even get out of bed. The room on the fifth floor was right next to the air conditioner compressor, which was incredibly noisy at night! We booked a one-bedroom apartment, but ended up with two bedrooms. The room we stayed in was terrible, and to switch to a quieter room, we had to pay an extra $100 per night. Honestly, you could have clearly stated this when I booked online; I would have paid extra. There's no need to make money in such an underhanded way – it's a really bad look. Next time I'm in Box Hill, I definitely won't be staying here again. The previous hotel I stayed at was a ten-minute walk to Central. I booked this place just to save a bit of walking, but if this is the experience, I'd rather walk more."
