Brooklands Guest House

This guest house was a great find. Really good value, room very clean, bed really comfortable, breakfast was great. It’s only a 15-20 minute walk into Bowness. Karen and Andy were very friendly. We definitely recommend Brooklands and hope to return.

We stayed at Brooklands while visiting family and had a lovely time there. It’s a perfect guesthouse with plenty of character and the staff there are so welcoming. We will definitely be staying again next time we travel to the Lakes and we will be staying longer when we do.

Stayed at Brooklands with my 12 & 10 year olds for one night prior to a fell race in the area. The owners were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Showing us to our room and explaining the breakfast order process and inquiring how our journey had been and what our plans were. At this point, they very kindly offered to prepare our breakfast a little earlier than their scheduled times to accommodate us - which I did not expect them to do as I had clear view of their breakfast times before booking and was planning to grab something when we got to our race. The b&b is in a good spot. I found it easily, good space to park. After being in the car for a while, the walk down into Bowness (about 20minutes to the restaurant we had booked) was nice. We all had a good night sleep, the beds & pillows were very comfortable. In the morning we again had a nice chat with the owners, breakfast was lovely, good quality bacon and sausage and eggs exactly as we liked them. The children also enjoyed the cereal before their cooked food arrived. I had also mentioend that I had forgotten an item of clothing that I was planning on wearing, very kindly the owner mentioned that she had just popped one of what I needed into a charity shop bag, went and dug it our and it fit great - very much appreciated! We would return as we felt it was a good option for us and good value for money.

Stayed for a night, lovely hosts. Welcomed us from arriving. Pre ordered breakfasts, which did seem to work on the day. Cereal and toast ready for u followed by your full breakfast. Good night sleep, clean and comfy room. Will definitely be visiting again ☺️

Lovely BnB, hosts are so friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they let us put our bags in and grab the room key so we could go and spend the day by the lake. Rooms lovely, best nights sleep in forever really comfy beds. Location was ok 15 minute walk into bowness, be careful as have to walk on the roads due to no path but was fine. We got a taxi back up and was £4. Breakfast was delicious, we was offered more tea,coffee and toast. Good selection of cereals to choose from. Would most definitely stay again thanks for a lovely stay

Brooklands Guesthouse has become our home-from-home. Comfortable rooms that are newly decorated and upgraded, great breakfasts and friendly hosts make for a relaxed and comfortable break. Much recommended.
