Tintswalo Waterberg

We had an amazing stay at Tintswalo Waterberg for three nights during New Year's 2024-2025.. We were welcomed by singing by the team and a welcome drink. Our two-room suite was really nice and the fridge was filled with complimentary drinks, and snacks were also available. Our sons had their own room and got some special drinks and treats for teens. We had game drives twice a day, at 5:30 and 16 and between these we had time to relax, rest or hang out by the pool. A water bottle was always provided in the truck, and refilled to the next drive. Clive was our guide during our stay - he was amazing, always helpful and informing us on what we saw in the bush. Special memories are the morning coffees with Amarula and sundowners on the open plains with all the animals around you. He also went the extra mile to make sure we got to see the animals we had left on our checklist... Ha also drove us back and forth to the main gate of the reserve, this was two extra game drives! We managed to spot all of the Big 5, and also the cheetah, apart from all of the other amazing animals in the reserve - giraffes, zebras, kudus, elands, rock dassies , hippos, impalas, warthogs, wildebeests etc. The breakfasts after the morning game drives were really nice, and you had the option of ordering your "hot order" with eggs, bacon of your choice. Food overall was really good and well made. The last night on New Year's Eve we had a braai/boma dinner outside under the stars! Tebogo is a large part of the vibe at Tintswalo, with her laughter and smile, and she and her team made us feel right at home creating that feeling of family and togetherness! All of the staff was so friendly! We really recommend this place - 5 stars!

Très beau lodge, avec une vue magnifique, une déco raffinée et un accueil soigné. Il a pour caractéristique d’être protégé par une clôture, ce qui offre un environnement sécurisé, et offre des suites avec deux ou trois chambres pour les voyages en famille. Nourriture simple mais très bien cuisinée. Deux safaris sont proposés par jour : matin vers 5h30, après-midi 16h30. Très bonne ambiance avec des guides très sympas et un personnel attentif. Situé au sein de la réserve de Welvegonden réputée pour la beauté de de paysages et la richesse de sa faune, dans un environnement préservé et exempt de paludisme. A recommander sans réserve, y compris pour des familles avec jeunes enfants.

I love the fact that the area is well secured and safe as well as that it has a perfect atmosphere and there's a lot of wows...every 2 hours there's a wow in front of you ...the workers and the service we got at 15..idk if it's a block or what but 15 was great

We had three wonderful days there and everything was amazing. Our ranger Clive was great and the staff was so lovely. I can only say the best. The food was great as well.

We loved our stay at Tintswalo Waterberg. We spent 3 nights there as a family of 12, a mix of adults and kids, and while the lodge is not exclusively for families, they are particularly well equipped to host them. The service was exceptional, the facilities are of a very high quality and the catering was excellent. The attention to detail was evident in everything the resort put together for us, from the personalised water bottles to the blankets and ponchos available on the game drive vehicle. Our guide, Foster, also known as "DJ", was brilliant. He has an infectious personality and wonderful knowledge of the bush but he is multi-talented... don't be surprised if he breaks out in song during a quiet period out on safari. We hope the stars align for us to be able to visit Tintswalo Waterberg again in the future.

An amazing lodge with excellent safari drives, food amenities and service. Clive our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and truthful with is answers. Philipine our cook was a wizard with her culinary skills and presentation. Melidah our front of house butler was very attentive and always smiling, as was our host Jeantelle. A great place to stay for couples and families of all ages.
