"The building is historical, with nice original features. Many nice reception rooms, private dining rooms ... When you see it from the street, there is no "hotel" sign, so you could drive or walk past it ... Most rooms are two flights up (high ceilings, long flights ...), no elevator and the carpet on the stairs is worn out. The breakfast room is dark, and the breakfast offering was very average. The team at breakfast was nice. We were six couples of friends on an alumni reunion, booked for two nights. One couple checked out after one night - their room was cold (end of September, highs around 27 Celsius during the day ...) and they hardly got any sleep. Their door did not lock properly. Another couple was also cold and slept with their coats on. We were in the Stendhal room - small, dark, with a very outdated bathroom. Temperature for us was ok. The beds are not great and need to be updated. The room next door on the side toward the plazza seemed a bit bigger than ours with more light. We would not recommend the Stendhal room. Coming back to the room after dinner was a bit "eery" with only one dim light in the big hall towards the room. Everyone in the group complained about the showers. Our shower head didn't fit into the "holder", so you had to hold it up by hand. The owners should invest - in the comfort of new beds, good locks, modern plumbing, a new carpet on the stairs ..."

"The Ludwig Boutique Hotel in Bolsena has convinced us overall. The location near the beach is a great plus point, as well as the large, free parking place that makes the arrival comfortable and uncomplicated. The reception was friendly and the lift is convenient to reach the rooms. Our room was a modern, bright, very pleasant double room in white, spacious, with balcony and a well-equipped minibar – However, the prices for it are significantly overhigh. The bathroom is beautifully designed, the shower works properly and all the equipment makes a maintained, high quality impression. This is especially highlighted by the beautiful outdoor pool that invites to relax. Breakfast was very good, with a rich selection and fresh products. Concluded: a very well maintained Boutique Hotel in the best location, with comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. Despite smaller criticisms, we would like to come back."

"The location on Piazza Dante Alighieri is convenient to the lake, 2 lake front restaurants, and a pretty walk on a hydrangea lined street up to the walled city section. Convenient parking in a gated lot behind the hotel. Stop in front of the hotel on the piazza to checkin, drop bags, and then park. There is an elevator for handicap access, but all access to the pool is via steps. The hotel furnishings and decor is very traditional, pretty, and the photos are representative. There is a very nice pool that has a couple umbrellas for shade. Breakfast is provided: meat and cheese, bread, yogurt, cereal, and assortment of cakes and croissant. Coffee/tea/water. Breakfast ends at 10:30 and they will ask if it’s ok to clear food starting at 10:15, so don’t go down late. The shower is a corner shower. Half of each of the doors on the sides (not against the wall) slide back. Some will find the entry to the shower to be small. It wasn’t an issue for us. We will complain about the air conditioning. Where the hotel has a/c, it is not effective enough to adequately cool the rooms. There is no individual temperature control in each room, so you only get whatever temperature the hotel sets. It seems the temperature gets turned up a lot during the day (or the a/c cannot keep up with the heat during the day) and by the time it starts running at night, it is too hot to sleep. Around 8:30am we can notice cooler air blowing in the room, but it’s too little too late. At 37C outside, it was uncomfortable to sleep. Even opening the window didn’t help at night."

"Mikä ihmeellinen kokemus. Olemme rullanneet Bolsenaan viinaa perjantaina iltana huhtikuussa. Meidän online-varattu paikka oli suljettu! Joten löysimme Casa di Agathan verkossa ja teimme varauksen. Kun veimme ylös oli pimeää ja näytti myös suljettu, mutta pian Tiziano veti meidät sisään. Huoneet ovat hyvin vanhassa ja kauniisti säilytetyssä rakennuksessa. Jokainen on mielenkiintoisesti koristeltu antiikkien ja käsimaalattujen kattojen. Kylpyhuoneet ovat kauniita modernit säännökset, mutta myös elegantisti sisustettu tavalla, joka vastaa teemaa ja aikaa. Sera tervehti meitä kaikkein hämmästyttävää aamiaista. Unelmoimme tuoreista sitruunoista ja kermapavuista ja cappuccinoista ikuisesti! Kiitos myöhästyneistä majoitusta ja ihana vieraanvaraisuus häämatkaamme, Richard ja Shannon Ross"
