I never take the time to review my stays. In this case I felt compelled a this has been maybe the best boutique resort that I have had. Just stay at this hotel and look no longer it’s worth every penny. Thank you very much to Amun Ini team for an unforgettable experience. Even if the weather did not allow for snorkeling the place is a piece of paradise.

Perfect resort and the dive shop and people (especially Lito and Josie) are amazing! The resort was booked so we stayed close by and scheduled our open water dive certification with Lito. We had stayed in June 2024 and came back because we love Amun Ini so much. In addition to the diving and the rooms the restaurant is second to none and we are there frequently!! The owner Fred and Jeffery in the restaurant are awesome as is the rest of the staff!! Cannot recommend more highly! Just book early to insure you get the dates you want - always the sign of a great resort 😊😊

All staff here are super friendly and helpful, we were looked after at every opportunity around the resort. Food was exceptional and great quality cocktails. REAL coffee which was unexpected. Rooms were clean and very comfortable, spacious bathrooms. The resort feels secluded and with its own sandy beach and Infinitely pool to watch the sunset with a drink. Do bring mosquito repellent/ long trousers if you are a mosquito magnet as it is surrounded by lush vegetation. The dive team are extraordinarily knowledgeable, Marine Biologists and super spotters for the tiniest Macro. I’ve spent many dives searching for special macro species in Borneo. Within a couple of days here I’d already ticked off mimic octopus, harlequin shrimps, flamboyant cuttlefish, Shaun the sheep nudi. Dive sites all close and back in between for snacks. Diving other places will never quite be the same once you’ve been here. Night dive is an absolute must!

This beautiful little boutique resort that I brought a group called Kids Sea Camp to. It was an awesome family diving vacation. Amun ini is located right on the beach with lots of fun things for the kids to do. There is a volleyball beach court, a basketball court, an infinity pool, and a beautiful private white sand beach full of seashells. The rooms are very spacious, either a king bed or a king bed with 2 single beds for families with young kids. 2 queen beds as well. None of the rooms connect, so if you have older teens, you can easily have two side-by-side rooms. I bring a small group of family divers to this resort for a 5 or 6-night stay each year. The best rooms for views are the second floor, and the easiest and quickest to the restaurant and pool are the first floor. The downstairs rooms have gardens in front of them so ocean views are obstructed. The food is very good, and a great variety that is customizable for kids. This resort is a 2-hour ride from TAG airport but provides private transfers. The diving operator is Amun Ini Divers and they are both SSI and PADI. The Kids Sea Camp Event we attend each year is a PADI event, and families with kids come from around the world to learn to scuba dive and dive together. The dive shop has 3 boats that are very well equipped with bathrooms and refreshments. This dive operator offers valet-style diving where everything is taken care of for you. The kids dive rental gear is all included for the kids as well as all the meals, transfers and up to 4 dives per day. This resort is uncrowded and very service-forward. The dive team is one of the best in the world that I have had the pleasure to dive with. The beds are very firm. Enjoy.
