From April 6 to 9, I had the absolute pleasure of staying at La Colina Hotel Cottage, and what I found was far beyond a simple hotel stay—it was a heartfelt experience that left a lasting impression. Tucked away in the lush surroundings of Bogotá, this charming boutique hotel is a true hidden treasure that gave me the perfect balance between productivity and soul-nourishing rest. I came with work to finish, and I left with so much more. Not only did La Colina provide the peaceful, inspiring atmosphere I needed to focus and get things done, but it also welcomed me with a warm, family-like embrace that made me feel completely at home. The Colombian expression "déjate consentir"—let yourself be pampered—took on real meaning here. It came alive in the deeply engaging conversations with fellow guests, the open-hearted hotel owners, and the caring staff who treated me like one of their own, all in just a few days. Waking up to the sight of hummingbirds fluttering outside my window, sharing breakfast with a delightfully chatty cat affectionately named Gato Muertodehambre, and wandering through the vibrant art gallery that was not just my room but the entire hotel—these moments made every second feel like a special gift. La Colina isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a space where the warmth of Colombian culture wraps around you. It’s a feeling, an energy, a connection. I came for work, but now, I can’t wait to come back just for fun. What a treat this place is.

It's a hidden gem! Locals and tourists to Bogotá are missing out on a lovely getaway with some amazing food, artwork around the hotel and rooms, genuine and meaningful chats, and meeting the artist in residence. For those coming for work, Federico will help organize your ground transportation!

The service was great and the staff was friendly. You will not be disappointed. The food was wonderful. Frederico speaks fluent English and can help arrange your excursions and transportation. I highly recommend for anyone going to Bogata to see the many cultural sites the area has to offer.

Beautiful hotel and art style! Owners and staff were very accommodating and focused individually on each client. Perfect place to get away from the noise of the city for the weekend or a relaxing day pass, massage and dinner! Restaurant carries a wide variety of options and breakfast, lunch and dinner were well portioned and delicious.
