I don't normally write reviews but I feel an obligation to warn future travelers to avoid this specific Holiday Inn. Our room was dirty and not well kept. Upon checking in I even noticed a small toy that was likely left behind by a previous guest. Some of the outlets/light bulbs didn't work and the bathroom was a total disaster. The grout was filthy, the tiles were cracking off of the walls and the doorframes were rusty. The bathroom was also tiny and there was no bathmat which compounded the problem of the shower curtain; it was simply impossible to take a shower without flooding the room, which served as a way to unearth the grime and hairs that were in the bathroom room when we checked in. A previous reviewer mentioned the beds were comfy and if you like a soft mattress, perhaps they are, but another odd design feature was the gap between the mattress and frame which allowed the pillows to sink while sleeping: Not ideal if you have a bad back! Not to mention one of our mattress covers was ripped. There were also bugs crawling around the beds, which could be excused since it was a ground floor in Florida but coupled with the musty smell of the room, made for an unpleasant sleeping experience. I will say most of the employees I encountered at the front desk were friendly but I was double charged for my room and it took several days to rectify this. The pool is a nice feature for the price but there's an overall seediness to the vibe at night that I wouldn't expect from an IHG property in Boca

I checked in and checked out less than 10 minutes later. This was, without question, the worst IHG hotel I have ever seen. The room had visible mold and a serious bug infestation. The conditions were absolutely unacceptable and, in my opinion, completely unfit for guests. I could not imagine staying there even for one night, so I immediately returned to the front desk and checked out. I am an IHG member and have stayed at many IHG properties. I expect a certain standard when I see the IHG name, and this hotel was nowhere close to that standard. I honestly believe IHG should inspect this property and reconsider allowing it to operate under the IHG brand. I was in the hotel for less than 10 minutes because of these conditions, and I expect a full refund. A guest should never have to pay for a room they cannot safely and reasonably stay in because of mold and a bug infestation. This was an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience. IHG needs to take a serious look at this property.

We were on a trip with family. Never ever have we felt so violated, so unsafe, and so unheard. Just to name a few, and pictures will be uploaded: No cover on the wall outlet Front door did not lock! Back sliding door did not lock! No bathroom door, at all Filthy dirty baseboards Old crusted water pipes Nearly nonexistent breakfast If it had not been so late, and we had not had such an early start the next day, there is no doubt we would have left. Halfway through the night, I even thought of sleeping in the car for better safety. This is no joke. We were appalled that the city of Boca would allow a hotel to present the type of safety issues we experienced at this hotel. Although we asked for a callback from management, we never received one. We did contact IHG, and they refunded some, but not all of our stay. Protect your family. Do not stay at this hotel.

The hotel definitely needs major renovations. The pool was green and dirty. The room had so many ants in it. You couldn't leave anything out. Definitely will NOT be staying there again.
