Chay Lap Farmstay Quang Binh

Goede uitvalsbasis om de grotten in de omgeving te ontdekken, fiets of wandeltochten te maken. Toen wij er overnachtten waren er een paar grote (luidruchtige) Vietnamese groepen waar het personeel zich voor verontschuldigde. Maar was niet nodig. Het was wel leuk om te zien hoe ze zichzelf binnen no time volgieten en veel plezier maakten. Personeel heeft het netjes in de hand weten te houden en tijdig ingegrepen. Als gast krijg je ook de mogelijkheid om gratis gebruik te maken van de kajak aan de rivier. Fietsen mag je ook gratis lenen.

This place a find. Not only was the location fantastic, a stopping point for trekkers, but also the place to stay if you’re wanting to go to the Phong Nha and or Paradise Caves. But the thing I appreciated the most was the warm, friendly and professional staff who I fel provided heat care and service. Phenomenal breakfasts too.

This farm stay is beautifully located in the countryside and has a peaceful rural setting. The staff were very friendly and we had good service The evening meal and breakfast were also very good. Our farm room was like a log cabin in the shape of a shepherds hut. It was clean and the bed was comfortable but the pillows weren’t. There was a wardrobe but limited shelves for clothes. The sink in our room was cracked and you had to remember to turn on the hot water for a shower. The staff told us WiFi was only available in the reception, pool and restaurant area but sometimes we did get it in our room. Overall I thought it was a bit dated and in need of some TLC. The pool towels had holes in them and the covers on the pool loungers were badly stained. We enjoyed getting in the pool to cool down but there was quite a lot of small debris floating on the surface of the water.

An oasis!!! This place was the perfect mix of rural beauty and modern comforts. Grounds were lush, butterflies and dragon flies frequently arounds. The grounds are full of cozy, romantic spots to sit and read in the shade or play cards and have a drink with friends. The staff was exceptional, so friendly and helpful. Helped us plan a route to Halong Bay and found us spots on a sleeper bus. They were very apologetic about nearby noise from seasonal practices of the locals involving chainsaws but it was not particularly bothersome, only lasted a couple hours and we weren't spending time in our room anyways. The kayaking was beautiful and free. The food was great.

What a beautiful place with a lovely view of the mountains! The room was clean and sprayed with anti-insect spray, which worked. Staff was very friendly and spoke sufficient English. Be sure to try the cheap cocktails, they're delicious! We stayed a day at the pool which was lovely. We recommend biking around in the area, you can hire bikes for free at the reception.

It seems it can’t cater to international clients. Despite charging a heavy amount, the hotel is not giving good services to its customers. Bad part: 1. The chef is unable to cook vegan or vegetarian dishes. They just know how to cook tofu with tomatoes. I had to eat only this for two days. I had to catch a train early morning and asked them to pack Tofu and some noodles for breakfast. They packed dry noodles in a box and 2 pieces of soya with some plain water/soup in a plastic bag, which got leaked before I can eat it. It was a horrible experience during my entire 20days trip to Vietnam. They were also not allowing me to talk to the chef so that I can explain to him my requirements. 2. There is no WiFi in the rooms. 3. There is no phone in the rooms for any room service. 4. The pool is extremely dirty. Good part: The rooms are pretty decent in size. I will never recommend it to anyone and will never come back.
