The Georgian Hollies Hotel

Stayed last wk end rang before asking if i can had newly refurn rooms due to my back problems man on phone said yes you are in a new refurb room when arrived the room was not the matrress was old and worn thin ask the nice man on reception to move rooms he did move us rooms it was same matrress thin springs stuck in my backthe ceiling haf a leak that was drying out looked like it was ready to fall through brown stains on pillows and then top it off i have a stomake bug!!! im so ill still !! In 3 days i never say a cleaner down stairs cleaning like i have before ?unless they do big improvements to rest rooms and all reception/ lobby looks old dated carpets thin old caladonian holidays what a shame this could be a lovely hotel in the right hands.. staf are lovely and do try there best

Please take my advice stay away from the georgian hollies hotel checked in on my way to the room the carpets up the stairs and hallway was filfthy i walked in my room to a over powering smell of bleach my bathroom was'nt clean i took the showerhead off to rinse down and had all black on my hands the shower tray was dirty and my bed in my opion was'nt changed never again will i go there i have e-mailed leisure time and advised they send a rep to check the conditions not sure it will go any where but i've tried

We have just stayed at georgian hollies for second time.We have had great service,all staff are amazing they go above and beyond to help. Top marks to chef food was good the soups were fab the rice pudding excellent.Room was large bed so comfortable. All round first class for price paid it was great value.Well done to all staff.

Very basic ,our bathroom taps did turn off easily ,floor was uneven ,shower not good for very big people myself just got in and not very hot water, NO phone in room so cant get a hold of reception for eg a DOCTORS etc.we was on second floor you could hear the entertainment. Every night was a sleepless night. Food was basic but ok strange starters like tin fruit ,soup ok and fruit juice.Our waiter mostly very rude unbelievable he thought he was fun not.maybe that Blackpool.

Came on coach holiday and having read most of the reviews this seemed to be the hotel to stay at. However on arriving at the hotel our rooms were not quite ready 3 rooms in total. After about a twenty minutes we got our keys two rooms out of the 3 were nice & clean a little small but fine for a 3 day trip. 3rd room not so clean. drawers were full of empty sweet rappers and crips packets we reported needlessly to say nothing was done and we clean ourselves. Other than that rest of room was okay. Tea tray was provided in room along with hairdryer. Beds were comfortable clean towels. Rooms were cleaned the next day and fresh towels if required and tea &coffee facilities was replaced. We was all booked on bed breakfast dinner. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Dinner was not so great very limited choice and well if you didn't like either go hungry or go out. Not much entertainment on bingo every night and either a singer. To say the hotel was full quite a few coach holiday in as well . Plus a weekend of dance competition so very busy. So you would think they would have stocked up the bar. My dad only drink bitter which they ran out first night. My other drank BUD they ran out no stella all the basic drinks and nothing. £6 for a bottle was not great. In end we went out all 6 of us. Bar is a good size a little dated but was clean . The staff are friendly and hotel in a good location not far from town. Would i recommend no and i wont stay again. For the money i definitely believe they are better hotel.

Check in was very hectic our room was spacious and clean entertainment would of been OK if they didn't spread the bingo through the night it ruins the earnings also no entertainment on Sunday might as well go home Saturday evening they don't tell you noting on when you book would not go back again on that bases also two many coaches can't move and to many smokers at front door coming in reception should tell thewas todm to keep door shut staff very nice was told hair dryer in draw no had to leave 10 pound deposit also room very hot whent to reception for a fan 20 pound deposit cost me 30 pound for both that's it for now will not return
