Ciflik Winery

Staid here for one night and had dinner as well. The service at the reception was good, although not particularly fast. The rooms were cool, clean but not as modern as I hoped they would be. Nevertheless, it was good for the stay. Breakfast was good. The dinner itself was unfortunately average at best. Service was bad in terms of the waiter not being able to give good recommendations nor to present the wine we chose which is absurd for a Winery. The appetizers were solid enough, classic Macedonian from ajvar and paprika to tomatoes, but the main dish consisting of different types of mest was disappointing, with only pljeskavica (minced meat) being very good. For dessert we tried some pancakes which were okay. All together we did expect a bit more, especially from the dinner itself.

Man muss erst einmal eventuell seine Erwartungshaltung bezüglich der Unterkunft anpassen: Es handelt sich nicht um ein Weingut inmitten von Weinbergen, das ein paar Zimmer vermietet, sondern um ein Hotel das Wein verkauft, der irgendwo anders produziert wird. Die Zimmer sind geräumig mit einem schönen Bad und einem kleinen Balkon mit Aussicht in das Tal. Zimmer und Bad sind penibel sauber. Leider entspricht das Frühstück in keinster Weise dem Standard des Hauses. Zum Beispiel muss jede Tasse Kaffee einzeln an der Theke bestellt werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ziemlich mickrig. Schade!

Hotel is simple, good for 1-2 nights. Regarding food we did't have chance to explore, but we explore wine and I can say they have good wine. If you are lover of wine, go there for evening and enjoy Ciflik wine!

Perfect place to stay and eat while in Macedonia. Hotel was immaculate and the service was exceptional. Special thank you to managers on site who could not be more helpful. Restaurant was amazing. A must for any traveler.

Excellent hotel with wonderful restaurant and great wines. It is not in Bitola and we had a small minibus to drive us there up some variable roads so not sure you could walk it but worth the effort. The breakfast was fantastic and very large portions

Stayed here for 3 nights and was joined by two friends who had never travelled to North Macedonia. After my first night, I knew I had made the right decision for my friends first visit to Bitola. The restaurant staff were extremely courteous and professional. They offer you an opportunity to try wines before you make a decision. The food is of very good quality, great apps and mains. Portion sizes were “balkan” and prices were more than reasonable. We had breakfast included and you had a great variety to choose from! Both western and Macedonian. Their jams are homemade and to die for. One night I ordered the fried cheese with almond crust and covered in a fig jam..wow! Pic included above. So good with a glass of white! Their wines are good, small batch. Although their cheapest white wine (grape starts with a T) is by far their best! Accommodations were perfect, small balcony, nice size bathroom with shower. All modern and new. Television probably had 300 channels! Very comfortable bed, bedding and pillows. The grounds outside are immaculate. I need to point out that the restaurant has two sections. A non smoking section and a separate almost restaurant for smokers, and there are many! Although the non smoking restaurant may look empty, no worries, it’s always busy on the other side. A huge thank you to ALL the staff at Chiflik. I visit Macedonia (and Bitola) at least once a year. The city centre is a $3 CDN or less ride from the hotel. The hotels in the city tend to be loud, air quality not so great and EVERYONE smokes EVERYWHERE! So it was nice to be at Chiflik!
