Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bismarck

I highly recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express. One of the first things I check when entering a place to stay is the smell, and I am impressed that this hotel smells clean and fresh throughout the entire property. Furthermore, the staff were all pleasant and friendly. The rooms are clean and inviting, with neat soap and lotion dispensers in the bathroom. The breakfast area is also clean, and there is a wide variety of items to choose from. Another thing worth mentioning is that I felt completely safe during my stay. I will definitely be staying here again!

Great hotel. Clean and efficient. A few minor things. Garbage cans in rooms are too small when two or more share room. Hotel boasts recently renovated which not done yet (and is ready for one). And lastly advertised free bottled water in room and there was none. When we called down they said had to buy in vending machine. Breakfast was great! And gentleman that was managing it was very personable and attentive! Won’t stay anywhere but the the Holiday Inn Express!!!

We flew to Bismarck from Costa Rica to surprise my family at a big reunion and this hotel blew me away. Forgive me, this will be long ;) My daughter and I arrived and as we checked in we were VERY impressed with the cleanliness of the lobby (I’ll come back to that). The front desk staff was incredibly kind - not “this is my job so I have to be nice” but genuinely seemed happy be speaking with me. As we were checking in, it was down pouring. I asked if there was anywhere close I could walk to buy an umbrella, as the heavy rain ruined our plans to walk across the street to surprise my family. One man (who I later found out was the district manager) gave me a couple options, including a Walmart that was 2mi away. As I thanked him and prepared to go up to my room, he added, “I’d be happy to give you a ride! It’s not far - would you like to go now?” I was floored. Normally I’m not in the habit of accepting rides from strangers, but this was ND and everyone was so helpful and nice. I gratefully accepted his offer, but then asked if he would drop us off across the street instead of bringing us to Walmart because after we surprised my family we wouldn’t need an umbrella anymore. He was happy to do it, and we arranged to meet a couple hours later. We proceeded to go to the room. As we were walking there my daughter commented twice on how clean the hotel was. It wasn’t just “we’re going to slap a little paint on and not repair the cracked tiles or broken trim pieces and hope for the best”. This hotel was legit one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in (and we travel a lot)!! Literally everything was immaculate! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and even the drawers were wiped clean and ready for use! It was very impressive, and a great start to our special weekend! We freshened up and met our ride downstairs. Just as I approached the front desk he pulled up under the entryway, ready to chauffeur us to our party. Our surprise visit was awesome, and everyone was impressed to hear that the DM of our hotel delivered us to the party. We had a short three day visit and cannot express how much everything about this hotel and its staff contributed to our experience! We are in the process of relocating back to the USA and my daughter suggested more than once that we move to Bismarck because “everyone is SO nice here!” Big thanks and a grateful heart to everyone who made our stay better than I ever thought it could be ＜3

Clean. Clean. Clean. Everywhere you go in this hotel is clean. Floors so clean my running shoes squeaked on them. Microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator with separate freezer compartment. Large bench for luggage storage with hooks above.

No hot water or coffee except at breakfast. Rooms were nice and clean. AC unit worked beautifully. A quiet place and plenty of parking. Restaurants near by. Everything was as it should of been with this property.

The hotel is maintained all day long. Just spotless every where! The staff is professional and just the kindest hotel staff. Everyone helped make our stay so enjoyable. The indoor heated pool was an extra treat. Best breakfast ever that was FREE!

Absolutely nothing to complain about and would stay again.Hotel has a good location close to lots of shopping and restaurants.Breakfast was great. It was a short trip to the front desk, breakfast buffet, pool or parking lot.Room was clean, nicely furnished, good wi-fi and check-in was quick and easy. Normally we stay closer to the Kirkwood Mall but this time we wanted to try something different and are glad we did.

After a long drive, we needed a comfy place to stay, and this was it.It was the Big Three things you want : Quiet, Clean, and Reasonable. Th e desk crew was kind and welcoming. And breakfast hit the spot. Would I stay there again? Absolutely.

We were in Bismarck for my husband’s medical appointment, and could not have asked for a better property for our stay! Not only were the rooms clean, quiet and comfortable, Manager Cindy Nelson and her front desk staff were wonderful! They provided a level of service that truly makes this a special place to stay, and we will alway stay here on our future trips.
