Asham Africa Hotel and Resort

The safest place with the most beautiful view I've seen so far in Debrezeyit. It's among the oldest hotel in Bishoftu, the rooms needs some repair and remodeling. Overall i like this hotel, the ambiance is just amazing. I am definitely coming back again.

We had such a wonderful stay at Asham Africa. It has the most spectacular views and the staff were incredibly helpful. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious. The only downfall is the intermittent wifi in some of the rooms, so if travelling internationally I would suggest picking up a SIM card.

Great view..but that is the only postive thing going for it the rooms especially the bathrooms need maintenance my room has broken floor tiles and leakage and at some point I found frogs and lizards just roaming about. LOTS of stairs to get from place to place. Too close to the local church so woken up at 5pm with loud noises. The room walls are super thin so and heard my next door neighbor on the phone ALL NIGHT! So if you are looking for some peace and quite to relax NOT THE PLACE!

On weekends it's horrible you won't be able to sleep with the church screaming from 3am. The rooms are absolutely not isolated, so we heard the neighbors having sex all night long; And before that we heard all their discussions and of course the television; And the establishment makes performances with volume of music to do on the terrace which is not closed! So the second time I came there was an open air disco plus the church all day, it was awful, awful... I said to myself that the first time I had no luck I've been here twice, first time I had the church and the TV and the neighbor fights So whoever comes during the week and is lucky enough not to have the church, no neighbors, and no discotheque set up in the open air by the hotel; the hotel would be very good, but with all this noise each time, frankly we return more tired than before. The big problem is the lack of insulation After there are other problems, but less annoying than the noise. We are going to Debrei zeit this weekend but to another hotel, much more expensive, but if we can sleep and eat without having to cover our ears it will be fine.Le week end c'est horrible vous ne pourrez pas dormir avec l'église qui se met à crier à patir de 3h du matin . Les chambres ne sont absolument pas isolées, donc nous avons entendu les voisins faire l'amour toute la nuit; Et avant ca nous entendions toutes leurs discussions et biensûr la télévision; Et l'établissement fait des préstations avec volume de la musique à font sur la terrasse qui n'est pas fermée! Donc, la seconde fois que je suis venue il y avait une discothéque à ciel ouvert plus l'église toute la journée, c'était affreux, horrible... Je me disais que la première fois je n'avais pas eu de chance Cela fait deux fois que je viens, la première fois j'ai eu l'église et la télévision et les disputes des voisins Donc celui qui vient la semaine et a la chance de ne pas avoir léglise, pas de voisins, et pas de discotheque mise en place en plaine air par l'hotel,; l'hôtel serait très bien, mais avec tout ce bruit à chaque fois, franchement nous rentrons plus fatigués qu'avant. Le gros probléme est le manque d'isolation Après il y a d'autres probléme, mais moins ennuyeux que le bruit. Nous partons ce week end à Debrei zeit mais dans un autre hôlel, beaucoup plus cher, mais si nous pouvons dormir et manger sans devoir se boucher les oreilles se sera bien.

What a beautiful environment, perfect place to visit & relax by the lake which is awesome! We didn’t stay so can’t comment on the rooms but the food was lovely, coffee was certainly strong enough 😃 Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Enjoy

The hotel is set in a beautiful location but it has no amenities So the lake has no boating, kayaking or sailing opportunities No bikes or evens a trail guide for walking
