Totally ruined my holiday!!
Booked for 1 night with my family, the shower in the room was not working. It was almost 11pm and we were not offered a new room immediately, instead we had to take shower in an used / unmade up room 🤮
The hotel partners with Grand Central carpark to offer hotel guests a 24hr parking offer at £12.50. We parked the car at 1:30pm, registered our license number and paid at the hotel front desk.
I clearly mentioned to the front desk staff we would drive out the next day after 1:30pm and asked how we should pay for the additional hours.
The staff charged me the £12.50 for 24hr, then I could pay the hourly fee at the shopping mall. However, when I tried to drive out the carpark on the next day evening, I was charged by the parking App for the entire 33hrs.
I had to walked back to the hotel in strong wind and heavy rain, the manager then told me that the car has to move out and get in the carpark again after the 24hr period - which is not the case the front desk staff told me at my arrival 😡
The hotel gave me a code to pay at the machine for another 24hr which I found out it was an invalid code later at the carpark. I tried to call back to the hotel but the reception staff said it’s my fault (!!) then cut the line 😡😡😡- which is totally ridiculous!!!
At the end I had to walked back to the hotel again and argued with the manager who then asked me to pay another £12.50 at the hotel.
It was an extremely unpleasant experience staying in this hotel, staffs at the front desk became rude and unfriendly when problems happen. Definitely won’t stay in this hotel again.
