Reception services very good. Staff very courteous.
Room is clean and comfortable.

Stopped over one night for a conference. Highly recommend Premier plus. Size of room was good, bed was comfortable. Extremely clean, very friendly and welcoming staff. Great deal on breakfast and evening meal. Met with colleagues - restaurant was good place for meet up.

This is the second time my friends and I have stayed at this hotel and we can highly recommend it. Everything was perfect from the friendly check in to the clean comfortable room. We choose the continental breakfast the following morning and although it was close to closing time, the girl was replenished the food so that we had the full range of options.

Very nice experience, the staff were very nice and helpful around early check-in when I phoned from the station. The room was modern and clean, looks like it was built recently. Super smooth 1 night stay for me and the family. Would recommend for a stay.

The beds were so comfy and the room was immaculate. The staff were super friendly and very kind the receptionist Charlotte was so very sweet. We had the best night sleep and the restaurant is huge and very accommodating thanks guys we will definitely be back

Paid for the Premier Plus Room i.e., Ultimate room and what we got was a small room crammed in the end of the building, I guessed it was for a single occupancy as when the receptionist said, I need to get another towel cos that room will only have one. The bed at best was smaller than a double - not the king size beds on the adverts. The air conditioning wasn't working properly and needed resetting by reception daily. A small bathroom but at least it had a walk in shower. The hotel ran out of coffee pods on day two Which is one reason I book the Plus rooms - nice coffee. Poor very poor experience had by us here in the hotel more like a Travel Lodge 10 years ago than the Premier inn of today. If offered room 1108 as a couple say NO. The breakfast and Dinner in the Bar & Block was superb, as were the staff.

We didn’t bother with breakfast as I’m not a fan of Bar & Block from other stays elsewhere so can’t comment on that. too. In a Premier Plus room which was extremely clean. Couple of issues surprising for a new hotel - wobbly toilet seat & mirror light not working. Will accept part responsibility for that though as we didn’t tell anyone there was a problem. You could hear a pin drop so amazing soundproofing and it is in a busy place. Heating/air con was great as was the coffee machine and power shower. Bed amazing as always. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Wi-Fi was annoying as runs out every 24 hours so had to get a new code each day. Phone signal was terrible (we are both of different networks and both had little to no signal) Great that there’s a Starbucks, McDonalds (take away only), Subway & Co-Op literally downstairs. Couple of minutes further and you have B&M plus Tesco Express. That said (& bearing in mind we are born and bred Londoners) it is located in a rough part of town. Dodgy underground to get to the main part of the centre (about 8 minutes away) which felt extremely unsafe and we were constantly crossing the road to avoid fights breaking out (on a Tuesday evening!) and being asked for money. The parking (Millennium Point) the hotel recommends is cheaper than the NCP next door (by a good tenner per day), however dragging a case in the rain for 12 minutes along a road after a long drive wasn’t fun and it is further than I would call reasonable. All in all just for the roughness of where it is I’m not sure I would stay here again but the interior is very nice and that decision is no reflection on the staff.

The location of this hotel suited our needs, was in easy proximity to the shops and for dining/drinking out and also to be able to explore the area. The area which this covered had lots of interesting history to discover which we enjoyed thoroughly.

Ok the pros - Friendly reception staff Rooms spotless and what you expect from a premier inn The cons (some of which obviously not Premier inns issue) - Location not in the best part of town, although only 5 minutes to cathedral not the best walk at night 3pm check in means exactly that, arrived at 2.50 and sat in reception as staff could not check in, we sat with approximately 20 people until it was 3pm. Surely rooms were ready beforehand. Parking - on site Millenium point is suggested, I would love to know why I walked past 2 other multi storey sites, it is only 8 minute walk but with mobility issues it makes a difference. Phone signal was weirdly bad at the hotel and everyone struggled for signal and WIFI was not great. Overall I quite like the Premier Inn brand but as there are alternatives close to this one I would choose the others when returning.
