Cempedak Private Island

It has been the fourth time for us and we have had another wonderful stay. Very relaxing and wide range of activities . Top service with very kind staff. The food is very good and menus are always adjusted if needed . We will definitively comme back again.

Cempedak Island is a special piece of paradise. The staff are amazing from the minute you get to Bintan ferry terminal and the Cempedak base. Everything is taken care of for you. The welcome is super special, staff and welcome drinks and the divine cool face washer. We enjoyed a wonderful balance of relaxation and activities. Water sports included a paddle/kayak and a swim around the island. Land games/sports include morning yoga on the jetty (Atoi and Fien), dominos in the Dodo bar, tennis, croquet, archery and boules. Balance this with a number of amazing treatments at the spa (Emmy and Metali), dips in my plunge pool and reading on the lounge chair. Mutia on the keyboards and singing for us was a pure delight. AND The highlight was the ****** ON CEMPEDAK very first edition. Huge fun interacting with the actors, uncovering clues, looking for clues and paddling for clues. I won't tell you who did it...... To celebrate uncovering the murderer, we had an incredible dinner along the jetty - was so special. Audrie Clark and Owen and the acting team from Evolve Arts were outstanding. Thanks Gaspar for the DJíng at the party, and Jimmy for your star äcting role and the group of wonderful cocktail makers. The cooking course we joined run by the consultant chef Penny was fun and informative, and of course delicious. No wonder every breakfast lunch and dinner on Cempedak is superb with ingredients from the local area/farm. This brings me to the food and other staff - what a treat. Thanks Esme for your infectious smile and willingness to help resolve any request. So many staff to thank, Ary (on guitar) Kem, Rafly, Eka, Lulu, Jaslan, Esti, Mey, Samuel great to see your smile again, thanks Rudi for looking after us and great to see Marjan again. WE WILL BE BACK......

This resort is something truly special. Reading about how involved they are in sustainability projects to how well the staff are treated, it's definitely a place I would love to promote and encourage people to visit. The food is one of best I've had at a.resort, not a single bad meal was had. The typical Indonesian hospitality was present, everyone smiling and greeting you. Would definitely love to return again. Truly a paradise to unwind and disconnect.

Man könnte Romane schreiben, wie schön es hier ist. Kurz zusammengefasst, ein Traum! Ideal für alle, die "am Ende der Welt" inmitten intakter tropischer Natur abschalten und sich erholen möchten. Beeindruckend auch das ökologische Konzept: umfassende Naturschutzmaßnahmen, regionale Küche, Gebäude aus Bambus, Photovoltaik, Nutzung von Regenwasser, natürliche Abwasserreinigung u.v.m. - all das kann man via kompetenter Führung besichtigen, wenn man möchte.

An idyllic setting with beautiful and environmentally aware design makes this place very special. Food and service were superb and we had a lovely stay. Each vila had a private pool just superb and we loved our own private beach as well. Nice tennis court and walks in the island. Lovely bush settings. Water sports were good but be aware the reef in this area is in poor condition

Cempedak Island is a truly amazing place. The island itself is the most beautiful place I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying. The bamboo villas are phenomenal, the staff make sure everything is clean daily (even clearing the paths to the villas), they provide a turndown service and I cannot thank them all enough for their hospitality. The food is exquisite. Three course meals are provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef and his team are masters of their craft and the service we received in the restaurant was amazing. The wine room is huge, the collection is incredibly varied and the knowledge of pairing wines is excellent. We had a 90 minute couples massage in the spa and it was incredible, the ladies were so wonderful and it was the best massage of my life. Cempedak is truly a tropical paradise, we spent three nights here and it felt like a week. Kayaking around the island, rock pools, snorkelling, a private island picnic via a speedboat, private plunge pool in a villa… honestly, if you visit Singapore and want a full escape from reality then this is the place to go.
