Getting to Four Points Bintan was a breeze — a hotel shuttle was already waiting for us the moment we stepped out of the ferry terminal, and it was a quick ride to the resort.
The lobby was big, bright and welcoming. Check-in was smooth, and the staff greeted us with drinks (a nice touch). Shoutout to Niko at the front desk who went the extra mile for us — though there were no Mother’s Day promos, he personally arranged a buffet dinner for us moms. His warmth and efficiency made a real difference not just for us but for other guests too.
The rooms were mostly ready on time, though 1 of 3 needed a bit more care — towels weren’t fully clean (room and pool towels had brown stains), and some mould was visible in the bathroom. Grouting was still not scrubbed =\ Housekeeping could definitely improve especially for a new(er) hotel.
There’s a small counter to book activities (slightly pricier than Klook, but convenient if you forgot to plan ahead). Also: Warung Yeah is just nearby for good local eats, plus a mart, a café, and even a spa if you’re feeling indulgent. The resort beach is lovely in the morning — go early before low tide and do watch out for jellyfish.
Food was hit and miss. El Lagoi Beach Club looked great but served us overcooked seafood and undercooked satay — not the best and definitely concerning with undercooked food. Rempah Kitchen was okay (3/5), but I would’ve loved to see a stronger local selection, especially during their “Asian night.” Breakfast queues were messy, and egg orders kept getting missed — but Allen and Putra still held things down with smiles, so kudos to them.
Kid-friendly vibes? Yes. There’s a playground and kids’ club, but it’d be great if they added more interactive activities and staff support especially during peak hours — maybe eco crafts, baking, or a movie night by the pool?
Would I come back? For the service, yes. For the views and location, yes. But I do hope the hotel works on food quality, housekeeping standards, and optimising their F&B team. Special thanks again to Niko, Allen, Putra, and the live band team — you all made our stay brighter.
