Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, Lagoi Bay

The entire stay was amazing. It was visible that employees were struggling to communicate to us in English but you can also see that they are determined to relay the necessary information with manners and patience which I really appreciated. Some things to really appreciate is that they had prepare birthday decorations upon request which where are really cute and the restaurant aswell which was the best. I would like to thank Dini, Leni , Icha, Tila and Indra as they really went over the top for the celebration at The El lagoi beach club please do reward them with a recognition if you could as the service was top notch. Some things to note however the aircon in our room was really hot it was at a temperature of 26 degrees and we called the reception about it and someone had come to repair it note that this was at 12am midnight. I appreciate the prompt action but however after trying to fix it the whole night the temperature remained the same. I would prefer the course of action to be changed for this situations like giving an upgrade of the room or changing to the exact type of room. For the cleanliness it was all okay except that the cabana was fully soaked for the 2nd and 3rd day as it was raining. We chose this room specifically for the cabana and we weren’t able to utilise it. Most importantly is that there was a cockroach in the bathroom.

Location was fantastic! Love the beach bar and the great hospitality by Dini, Icha, Dimas & team! They always make sure we are well taken care of! However, the towels and bedsheets are terrible. They either have stains or are grey. Drinks was great but i think more improvement can be made to the food. Medium rare steak came with a portion uncooked, pizza which took an hour to arrive looks and taste like it's a ready to cook frozen pizza. Breakfast was chaotic, had to wait forever for the coffee. I think the hotel should be more prepared for the breakfast crowd.

The hotel has direct access to the beach and has its own sea sports centre.. The hotel's service is good but with the high volume of guests, the food service waiting time is long. Additionally, there are insufficient beach towels and a lack of replenishment of plates and cups in the breakfast area. Overall, it was an enjoyable and memorable stay for my family!

Expected so much more from this hotel. 1. We arrived at 12.30pm and checked in. Was told that rooms would be ready by check in time at 3pm. Rooms were not ready even at 4pm. We just had to wait at the lobby entire time. 2. Went to one of their restaurants and somehow it took almost 1.5 hours for the food to be served. 3.Requested for connecting rooms and birthday decorations via emails weeks in advance but we didn't get the connecting rooms, while birthday decorations were done on the wrong day. 4. Can't get basic amenities. Towels were not replenished after cleaning and we had to request 3x before it was delivered 2 hrs later 5. Body soap was basically water. Feedback this to housekeeping and he promised to change the soap but he didn't change it. 6. Hotel is supposedly new but alr falling apart. Room door and bathroom door had to be forced in frames to close properly. Balcony was not cleaned and full of lizard droppings. Floor was not vacuumed properly and very dusty. Don't understand how it got great reviews.

Good and clean place. Friendly staff! And we had a free room upgrade!
