Malusara Retreat by the Lake

We travelled as a family for 3 nights to Malusara Bhimtal . We were 8 adults and 3 kids and we had the best time . The food is amazing . Rooms are nice and view of this property is beautiful. Its bang in front of the lake and from our room we could see the lake from our bed early in the morning. Very nice staff who were so accommodating and helpful. We got great weather as well which just made our stay more perfect. Special mention to Suraj who is the manager and Turan who is an amazing chef . Definitely visiting soon .

Stayed here for a night. The pictures don’t justify the beauty and calmness of this hotel. Don’t come here if you are looking for a 5 star comfort. This place is for those seeking peace, local architecture, interaction with nature and amazing few of Bhimtal lake. The food is also top notch which isn’t really highlighted often in reviews I read before visiting. I also loved the staff who took good care. Found a place to stay forever in Bhimtal now!

We stayed at Malusara Hotel(Super Deluxe Lake view room we paid) from May 17th to May 19th, 2024, with breakfast included. We traveled with our 1.5-year-old toddler. The hotel is located in front of Bhimtal Lake, though the view of the lake from the rooms is obstructed by trees. However, you can enjoy a clear view of the lake from the restaurant area. There were a few issues during our stay: 1. Monkeys: There were a lot of monkeys in the area. They started jumping on the roof at around 4 AM, which made it difficult to sleep peacefully. The roofs are made of tin and wood, so the noise was very loud. 2. Night Staff: No staff members are present at the hotel from 10 PM to 7 AM. In case of an emergency, they provided us with a mobile number to call. 3. No Air Conditioning: The rooms do not have air conditioning, which was not Although it is mentioned 4. No Refrigerator: Despite stating that the rooms have refrigerators, there was none in our room. When we inquired about this, the staff suggested we use the restaurant's fridge. However, this fridge is only accessible until 10 PM when the staff leaves. Overall, while the location and views from the restaurant were nice, the issues with noise, lack of staff presence at night, and missing amenities made our stay less comfortable than we had hoped.

A decent property with good aesthetics. Best part is the property is just adjacent to the lake .The staff here is friendly, welcoming and helpful.The rooms are hygienic and well maintained and of course the view from room is calming .The property is in tranquility, away from hustle bustle,easily reachable .The delectable food served is not to be missed . Everything was made comfortable here ,really enjoyed my stay and i look forward to visit them again.kudos 👏

Its a two day stay with my faimly. We had enjoyed lot spending time at property itself due to its fantastic views it have. Manager suraj is quite polite and helping and stuff is also very quick.

Nice location with great view. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food cost is on higher side and they charge a price for everything, even ice cubes. Friendly and courteous staff. Limited parking space within the compound. Rest have to park roadside. I enjoyed my stay there. Will give 8/10
