Amritara Chandra Mahal Haveli

If you want to enjoy the best of Rajasthani hospitality, charming accommodation and also soak in some peaceful village life, then this is a wonderful place to find such things. I stumbled upon this Haveli quite by accident and am so glad I did. My family and I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and wish it had been longer. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble to arrange. We enjoyed our poolside lounging with drinks (the salted lassi is very good) of an afternoon and the sunset on the rooftop overlooking the village and fields was breathtaking. The lawns are well kept and very large and there are flowers everywhere. Monkeys were never a bother - they kept away and it was fun spotting them on rooftops. The Haveli is steeped in history and I was fascinated by what I learned. Our heritage room was huge and beautifully decked out with a comfortable bed, good quality furniture and a large bathroom. Most importantly we had plenty of hot water! The restaurant served very tasty food - especially pakoras and I tried laal maas for the first time - medium spicy - which had great depth of flavour. The chef is a local *** but we thought his cooking was exceptional. Breakfast was included - fruits, parathas, curd, omelette, poha, toast, chai. Everything was super fresh. We also had the opportunity to visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary which is around 20 kms away - a taxi ride was arranged by the hotel and we ourselves organised a tour guide through an online search. We did an 8am to 4pm tour which was excellent value and as we are keen walkers, we did not hire a rickshaw until the end of the day when my son was feeling a bit tired. The guide had a telescope which allowed us to see the birds up close and we could see the mothers feeding their young which was stunning. If you go to the bird sanctuary, this telescope is a must. We saw so many species of bird life, turtles, ducks and 3 pythons. All the staff members at the Haveli are to be commended for their excellent manners and care. Their service went above and beyond. My family will return to Australia with very good memories of our time at this peaceful place.

We had an amazing experience at this property, everything from food , service and ambience; it was superb. Highly recommend to family with kids. Staff was very courteous to the kids. Food was fresh and delicious. Wish we had more variety , but it was worth the price we paid for everything.

Nestled in the rural landscape of a remote village named Paharsar in Bharatpur district, this property is a gem of a quaint peaceful abode. A family of four, we wanted to escape the poisonous air of Gurgaon, so we headed here for 3 nights. Welcomed by the warm hospitality of each and every team member, we loved the simplicity of this haveli which belonged to Nusrat Bhutto in pre partition India. Quaint Persian touch around the haveli, it was bought over by the Bharatpur royals ,thereafter being run by Amritara group. Having been to their property in Varanasi too, we loved the personal yet professional ethics of this group. Since we're there on Diwali day, the staff invited us to do the Diwali Puja ( prayer) with them. Taking care of our food requests, they attended to us immensely. Simple ,freshly made food is their USP. Not a huge range but what is made is made well. The property is neatly maintained, a menace of monkeys exist which one has to be alert about( the staff is very alert too). Hameed khan, pushpinder, pradeep were excellent all through. Floored by the generosity of every staff member, we relaxed and had a perfect Diwali break. A relaxed breakfast, idling in the lawns, swimming in the afternoon followed by lunch and siesta and then chilling in the evening...we enjoyed the holiday thoroughly. It is not at all like i saw in the pictures. Very shady with no upkeep. Felt insecure so did not stay at all, even when i lost all money due to zero cancellation. Please do the needful. Very bad

It’s connected well with road from highway inside village where haweli is located, very good outdoor activities. Food is simple. Dinner buffet was good. Though breakfast options are limited. Staff is polite and courteous and been cooperative during our stay, hameed, ankit and puran in particular. Property is clean and very well maintained. Only thing, in order to avoid accidents, please try having the pool area gated. Good property for a short stay over weekend.
