Premier Inn Berwick Upon Tweed Hotel

My husband and I recently had a 2 night stay at the Premier Inn in Berwick Upon Tweed. We had a third storey room, which was clean and tidy, but the window did not open. The window had been put in as a window that didn't open. I am a little claustrophobic and need my bedroom window to be open all year round, so I was unhappy my window wouldn't open. The plug in the sink was stuck, but I reported this, and the problem had been resolved once we returned to our room. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would recommend this Premier Inn as a good place to stay. I gave 4 stars rather than 5 stars because of the bedroom window..

Don't expect an evening meal and be prepared to pay for being too early for checking in, even if you room is ready for occupation. I think it was really miserly of premier Inn to charge me that amount after me paying £97.00. I only received 6.00 refund.

We went to Berwick for a short stay to explore the area. The hotel was brilliantly located in old Berwick with a very short walk to the estuary. The staff were amazing and friendly especially sue and Laura who made us very welcome. We have accessibility needs which were catered to with no fuss.

The hotel is in an extremeky central location with free parking very nearby. Julia and Sue on reception provided a friendly greeting at Reception.and were very helpful with any further queries we had. We travelled as a family with 2 children under 10. Everyone enjoyed a great night's sleep in our warm and comfortable room. Great choice at breakfast. We will be back!

The staff are super friendly and willing to help with anything. The room was spacious and comfortable. I’ve stayed here once before and I’ll continue to use this hotel

The Premier Inn in Berwick upon Tweed is by far the best I’ve ever stopped in. The staff are all lovely. Nicola, Kerry, Mel, Laura, Paul Sue Zander, Sarah to name but a few, and all the rest can’t do enough for you, It’s like home away from home!!!

NO FOOD SERVED AT WEEKENDS ONLY INFORMED ON ARRIVAL booked 2 months earlier with breakfast and dinner meal deal for both days. To be informed after driving 4 hours in torrential rain no dinner. No apology just haven't served meals at weekends for over a month BAD had to trail our in rain to find food Also had to say what we wanted breakfast and evening meal next day, only to have no note of this when arriving to eat Breakfast flat cold rubberry hard eggs hard to cut sausage every thing cold, Hot water for tea supplied from back of bar on request !! Don't bother with curry wouldn't feed a child chicken again rubbery AGAIN BAD Paid extra for room upgrade, broken toilet seat only 1 pillow each, informed staff to no avail Staff have no idea about on street parking for disabled, no on street advice signage, need to call local council to find out rules n regs Again Bad

1st - stifling room, aircon not working, cooler outside! Toilet seat completely detached so I guess had never been cleaned? Towel rail with 1 towel for two, fell off. Can’t reduce temperature below 19’C but still not good enough.

Great staff, great location, and lovely comfortable rooms opposite the river Tweed and 2 minute welk from the town centre Laura on reception was especially helpful and professional, and we have always enjoyed our trips to Berwick upon Tweed
