This was the worst business stay I’ve ever had. A disaster from start to finish. The hotel itself is in the middle of nowhere, not their fault, I’ll grant you, but a challenge when not even the taxi drivers can find it! The rooms are super-basic. Think youth hostel dormitory as opposed to any normal 3* hotel. It’s the kind of room you maybe stayed in when you were at school and went on one of those outdoor adventure weeks when you were 11 or 12. Yeah, that. It’s a good analogy as the beds were absolutely tiny too. As for amenities, what amenities? However, all of this pales into insignificance when you then get in to the customer service aspects of it. As I was there on business, I needed an invoice. Pretty standard stuff, right? When I asked for it on checking out, I was told “we’ll email it straight to you.” Nothing. On getting back to the UK, I tried calling. Every call goes straight to voicemail. I tried emailing. Not a thing. I tried contacting them via the *********** message function and then their Customer Service. Not a sausage. Finally after repeated back-to-back dials until the answerphone was clearly full, someone answered, clearly frustrated that the call had interrupted their day, and finally (after four attempts getting my email address wrong) managed to send me it. Awful hotel in a rubbish setting with terrible customer service. I’d have been better off pitching a tent.
