The hotel treated me very unfair. And people proved to be extremely non-flexible. I had the 4 nights stay booked in there, for 4 people. However on the day of the arrive, during the trip one of the group member felt very bad with symptoms that could indicated COVID-19. I called the hotel and asked for free cancellation of my stay (booked two days earlier). Instead of showing the human face ( I could come again! and pay the $$$) I was presented with all the legalistic statements that it is completely clear for them that they -- cannot-- cancel the trip cost-less or at least provide the option to change dates of stay. I was 'promised' a 'discount' next time I book - which means nothing, and BTW sounds silly as I will never ever book there again. They charged me 600 EUR while I didn't stay there for a single 1 hour!!! No way to reimburse! With all the COVID situation it's also strange that they wanted me to come (despite symptoms observed by me and reported to them) or cancel the stay covering the full amount. Normal / fair businesses should behave different in these times. I would expect they could charge me for 1 night (~150EUR) but not for 4. Not to say they had free rooms in these dates, so it is not that I blocked some else from booking the stay in the same time. Extremely unfair!
