Très bel établissement qui surplombe la vieille ville de Bergame. Une fois la voiture posée tout est accessible. Chambre impeccable, jardins et terrasses très agréables, ambiance relaxante. Nous avons diner au Bistrot d'à côté, bonne cuisine, nous conseillons. Petit-déjeuner personnalisé avec un plat choisi la veille ce qui change du classique buffet. Très bon niveau d'accueil et de service.

From the moment we arrived, it was one difficult and frustrating situation after another. If you are driving and looking to park at this hotel, it's a 1-lane narrow street on a steep mountain, full of people and cars heading in the opposite direction. Then, there is a very limited and difficult turn in order to turn into the driveway which leads to the garage. This required 3 reverse shifts and nearly scratching our car. Yet we were charged 25 EU per day to park. The shower pressure dies in the middle of bathing, with the water temperature fluctuating when this happens. This can last for several minutes before the water resumes. I brought this to the attention of the management but nothing was resolved. Breakfast is not buffet like other hotels for this price, and we were charged 5 EU per bottle of water we drank. A few insects in the bathroom, but we just stepped on them. There is no way to keep the light out of the room as some of the windows do not have shades and the AC control contains a large light right next to the headboard which is very annoying if you like it dark when you sleep. They have hundreds of channels on the TV, but only 1 of them was in English, and it was CNBC so we could only watch reruns of business shows and the Tonight Show. We quickly realized that this hotel was not for us, and that it was overpriced, so we asked to shorten our stay after explaining all of these issues and leave 1 day early. Their response was NO REFUNDS. There was no compensation provided to us at checkout whatsoever, even after I took the manger into our room at 11PM to try to fix the water pressure and find a single English TV channel other than CNBC. We traveled all over Northern Italy for 2 weeks and loved every other hotel we stayed at, but unfortunately got very unlucky with this one.

My wife and I had a very comfortable 4-night stay in this lovely hotel perched above Bergamo, with fantastic views of the old town below. The hotel can be accessed by funicular from the old town (10 mins duration) with its central square, cathedral and other sights. Another funicular ride takes you below the city walls to the new town, railway station etc. With only nine rooms, the hotel is fully focused on the needs of its guests. Each room in this former lodging for the adjoining (now ruined) castle has been beautifully restored with exposed hand-made brick vaulted ceilings, wood beams and high ceilings etc. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - the manager even gave us a lift to the art gallery when it was raining one day. The breakfasts were also superb - lots of fresh fruit, cereal and a choice of hot food cooked to order. So much to see in Bergamo - great art, amazing architecture and churches, an old fort and ruined castle. You can also spend hours walking the city walls and the cobbled streets with amazing views at every turn. Airport only 15 mins away by car or bus. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable, beautifully presented hotel in a stunning location.

We came across this place while looking for a place to have a drink. It was beautiful, stunning views lovely drinks and snacks and the people working there were so welcoming and friendly. Would 100% recommend this place, we had such a nice time we stayed for over 2 hours.

Séjour charmant, la vue de l hôtel est splendide. On espère revenir !

L’hotel si trova su un colle di fronte a Bergamo Alta, più in alto… la vista sulla città è pertanto spettacolare. Hotel molto rilassante, sembra di essere in una dimora di campagna, pur restando accanto al centro storico di Bergamo. Per accedere al parcheggio (a pagamento, ma lo consiglio anche perché trovare posto è impossibile) si entra dall’ingresso del loro ristorante (noterete il cancellone mobile sulla destra). Colazione ottima.
