Close to bicycle trails, museums, live music, shops, restaurants, movie theater, bicycle shops, night life, farmers market (in summer), churches etc. Our home has Alternating Tread Stairs, the steps on an alter-design are made to suit only one foot at a time. Children may not the ability to alternate their feet properly and maintain stability like adults. The reduced footprint and on the removed half on alternating treads make it steeper than standard stairs. It's a little more difficult to climb the stairs and has a higher chance of miss stepping when descending.
