I know writing a review will not do justice to the experience we had while visiting the Martz Farm. We spent 4 magical days in the jungle. You arrive as strangers and leave as friends. Our trip to Belize was our first international travel experience with our children, who were 8, 4 and an 8 month old baby. We couldn't have been happier with the adventures we went on and the experiences we had. Miriams cooking was amazing, and she graciously accommodated a food allergy for us. I think one of the best parts about eating there was that I never had to think about it and delicious food would just appear at meal time! The place we very well kept, and you can see all the time, love, care and pride they have put into their property! They have done so much work over the years to build it to what it is today. We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was perfect for us because it had electricity and the bathrooms right there, but I would have gladly stayed in any of the rooms! The treehouse looked truly magical! We went swimming in the stream, hiked through the jungle and saw so many fun plants and animals. Joe took us to Xunantunich, the Mayan ruin, and took us on a private guided tour. Great experience all around and it's not too far from the farm so made it a good trip for our family. We also spent a day on the pontoon boat, probably my favorite part of the trip. We explored the jungle and visited waterfalls and had an amazing meal grilled right on the boat. My kids were in heaven and I think they will always remember their journey on the boat. What a unique and wonderful experience! Your trip to their farm will be one you will never forget but it's the people who really make the place. Joe and Miriam are genuinely wonderful people who love to share their culture and land with others and we feel lucky that we got to spend a few days with them. The memories my kids have may fade over time but I believe they will always remember the kindness they were shown while we were there. They often talk about "Uncle Joe" as they so deemed Joe by the end of our trip. Thank you again for the wonderful time!
