Hotel RH Victoria & Spa 4 Sup

We are now at the end of an 11 night stay and can recommend this hotel without question. It is ideally located about 5 minutes walk from the Old Town Benidorm and not much further to the beach. The area is busy but not so much as the newer Benidorm strip which is about a 20 minutes walk from the hotel. There is a bus stop about 2-3 minutes walk where you can catch buses to Altea, the commercial centre for shops and the tram station for visits to places such as Villajoyosa, Denia and Alicante. Both buses and tram are a lot cheaper than UK! The hotel itself is very clean, rooms very pleasant and a wide range of food choices in the restaurant. All of the staff appear very friendly. Notable was the number of people here who have stayed several times previously which was encouraging. We have already booked to return next January!

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst, gisteren aangekomen je voelde dat je welgekomen bent. Zeer mooie kamer[ 1706] fenomenaal uitzicht. Mooi zicht op zee. Personeel zowel aan het onthaal als in het restaurant zijn ze super vriendelijk. We zijn hier voor de t****e keer personeel en bediening top

First time we have been away for Christmas. Been to Benidorm many times but never stayed in this hotel. The hotel was very good, exceptionally clean and the staff were very friendly especially the bar staff and Pequita in the dining room was a joy to be around. Food was mixed some nights better than others however Xmas and New Year Gala dinners were excellent. We booked All Incl. but we were not made aware at the booking process that there was a blue band and a gold band. Blue band entitles you to local drinks together with tea/coffee, draft beer/cider/wine/snacks - gold entitles you to named brands - you can of course upgrade at the hotel. The biggest disappointment was the entertainment which was based solely on the Spanish clientele. The Royal - sister hotel over the road catered more for the English and you can use your All Incl. band for your drinks. Hotel is ideally situated for the old town. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our first Christmas and New Year in Benidorm.

First time we’ve ever been away at Christmas and although we enjoyed it, wouldn’t stay here again at the festive season. We have stayed here in the past and always enjoyed it. However, we didn’t get much of a Christmas feel to it and Christmas Day really was a let down. Christmas Eve was fabulous with super food and a lovely atmosphere. As we were half board, we had no idea there was a gala lunch on Christmas Day and so arrived at the restaurant in the evening as usual. Very disappointed-no set tables and very bog standard food - the worst of the stay, which up to this point had been really good. Had we been advised of how Christmas Day was organised then we would have changed our evening meal to the lunchtime gala but no information was given so therefore it was a complete waste of Christmas Day to us. I think if there was an itinerary in the rooms then it would help guests make an informed choice of when to dine and what to expect. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness, the staff work really hard and are friendly and the food (apart from Christmas evening) was really good. The stay overall was nice but certainly not for us at Christmas.

Lovely comfortable rooms great location. Food ok, could be warmer and more varied but there’s usually something you can eat, entertainment old fashioned but bar area ok and drinks not too expensive. Rooms have a mini fridge so you can get your own drinks in.

I feel Ihave to write this rview after going to this hotel for christmas for the last 3 years This time was the most disapointing break we have ever had when we arrived there was no christmas antmosphere no christmas music The pros The staff make this hotel and the cleanliness is excellent maid service is very good I am afraid this is where it ends The rooms are dated and desperatly need a upgrade The food for this year was nothing short of diabolicle christmas day part of the menu was chicken nuggets beef burgers food selection for christmas was a complete let down and on 3 occassions when they were cooking beef burgers restuarant filled with smoke to the fact it made your eyes water the only time menu was reasonable was xmas eve when we had a influx of spanish selection of fresh fruit every day was pineapple mango and orange The entertainment is geared up for the spanish clientle singers only singing in spanish for line dancers We did go over the royal on a few occasions which was a lot better as the clientlel was more english the bar staff at the victoria we must praise as never left waiting for a drink We complained 3 times as the patio door was so stiff you had to use brute force to open it it was the same as we left We were all inclusive on this break as before and always took our water every night from the bar The only day we were left a replacement water in our fridge by the maid we were asked to pay 4.40 euros on booking out on the whole it is such a shame because this hotel is central to the old town but i am afraid that is not enough for us and will never be booking the Victoria again for christmas my advice to any englsh people looking for a special christmas break this is not the hotel for you
