Good location in the town

On arrival at reception we were met by around 50 adults queuing for the dining room, couldnt hear ourselves think. The room its self was clean, but VERY basic. 3 single beds when we requested a double, no fridge, no kettle. The beds were comfortable. Very little storage for a couple with some wardrobe space & 2 small drawers. We were in room 114 and you could here EVERYTHING the noise ftom the kettle, the evening entertainment & then the cleaners. Dont expect a lie in or to be left undisturbed, despite having dont disturb we were wakened every morning. The only saving grace was that we always take earplugs. The breakfast choices were poor & the appeared to be no rush to refill empty foods. Coffee/fruit juices from a machine was awful. We spent some time in downstairs area playing pool, the pool table & balls were disgustingly dirty. Would not return, just not my type of place. If its basic you're after its basic youll get!

Reading previous reviews I had mixed feelings about this hotel. Then we arrived 13th nov and the staff were very rude. Reviews claim for excellent air conditioning due to having no fridge in rooms. The air con doesn’t even work. When asked at front desk how to use it (was unsure if I was doing something wrong) front desk said no air con only hot air… also mentions a heated pool. Pool was Baltic and too cold to even dip your feet in. Beds are like slabs of concrete and we were there for 6 days and by time it was home time my sides were aching, pillows were shocking (you got 1 long one and then 1 tiny lumpy thing) so my neck and back also aching. Food was bog standard, vending machines only took cash and often took cash without giving you the product. Staff again downstairs were rude at the pool bar. Cleaners were doing their rounds as early as 8am and definitely not quiet about it! Walls are paper thin and can hear everything above and next door. when asked to leave said no and carried on cleaning (wasn’t aware there was a do not disturb sign) went down to ask for the safe key which was €22.50 in total €10 deposit and €12.50 which you wouldn’t get back. Location is good or poor depending on what you come for. It is a walk to the main strip but not far to the old town. But expect a good walk for a good breakfast/meal. Bathroom layout also questionable as shower was very powerful (thank god) but shower curtain was thin and stuck to your body while washing and the water just sprayed all over the floor making it very slippy. 3 plugs to a room so brought along and extension cable but electric is powered by a key card (you’re given 2 for a room for 2 adults) so must remember to leave key card in if you want phones ect charged for the day. Sun loungers outside were also broken mostly and the sun barely reached the pool due to buildings surrounding the area (no fault of the hotels, just useful information) I didn’t see a single person use pool facilities or even sun loungers for that matter.
