The Newberry Hotel Bend, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Pricey .. I stayed 2 night $260/night, kinda surprised that the hotel still charged me even more for breakfast, parking and waters.

The location is perfect. This used to be a Double Tree which both my husband and I liked better. The rooms are average. You have to pay for breakfast, which isn't so unusual but you also have to pay for coffee which I think is ridiculous. We also had problems getting our heater to work. Someone had to come in our room twice to fix it. This happened to be when we were ready for bed so it was pretty inconvenient.

This hotel has seen better days. The AC in our room broke, they were renovating the room above ours (and moving furniture very early in the morning) and the shower leaked all over the floor. My husband filled out a review request from Hilton and they refunded half our stay. Not sure if it's moving away from being a Hilton property, but the big sign outside said "Newberry Hotel" so it took us a minute to figure out if this was actually the correct hotel! The big D on the exit doors told us it was the DoubleTree, but otherwise it was hard to figure out! The location was great, as downtown Bend was easy to walk to, and parking was plentiful.

Location is perfect. Being charged to park wasn't cool but you're in "downtown" Bend, everything cost money. Rooms were clean and made to order breakfast was nice. The staff was awesome. Scott at the front desk was super nice. We went to a concert at the amphitheater and afterwards came back, sat at the bar, had a couple drinks and some wings. Chris, the bartender was amazing. Funny as hell! He had a ton of local knowledge of things to go do in the area. We would have never known about the Lava Caves if he hadn't told us about them. He even stayed open a little later to accommodate us. In a day and age where customer service is almost nonexistent, he made us feel at home. You can tell he loves his job and is great it. The only negative things were no more DT cookies, and the internet was crappy, but the breakfast, wings and drinks made up for it. They should still fix the internet though. We will definitely be coming back to see more concerts and will be staying there anytime we are in Central Oregon. Recommend!

What a disappointment. I stayed at this property numerous times when it was managed by other companies. From checking in to room amenities this hotel was below par. Check-in was perfunctory bordering on rude. Minimal information was given - WiFi, etc. We are Hilton Award members and had registered with the Hilton App. The room was average. One needs a PHD to use the Tv remote and there was zero information in the room. This hotel is overpriced. Single ply toilet paper - really??? And charging for parking. I will not return as convenient as it is for my work downtown.

For a Hilton brand hotel, we were very disappointed. It started the first day of check in when the bathroom sink didn't drain. By the second day, the toilet paper was replaced with 1 ply, and no coffee or cups where replaced. By the third day, no towels, coffee, etc. At least the sink was fixed. High prices for Motel 6 service. Shameful.

The hotel was under heavy construction- and evidently we were some of the first guests after reopening from a total closure the days before. They didn’t seem ready to be open in any capacity. The signage to find the lobby was small and not easily visible. The room was covered in sheet rock dust, the windows were taped over blocking all views, and the air didn’t seem healthy to breathe causing severe congestion. Location was ideal, but I wouldn’t have booked our stay there if I would’ve known.

Stayed here 2 nights on a Road Scholar trip. Rooms were newly renovated and brand new. Rooms are very spacious and clean, Well stocked with towels. Meals provided for our group were good with lots of food. Good set up for the buffets. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is still being renovated in a few places. Good location to walk around town.

Recently finished a renovation and the property is beautiful. Amazing breakfast and friendly staff. Absolutely love the location as you’re right in the middle of downtown Bend and all the shops and restaurants (and even though you pay for parking, it’s less $ than hotels further from downtown! Parking is definitely a steal at the Doubletree!) Would definitely stay here again.
