Hotel Best Triton

We stayed here in January 2025 having visited when in the are in November. It has been renovated to a very high standard as you would expect of a 4* hotel. The hotel is split into 3 blocks with reception in block three which is situated in the middle of block one and two and this is classed as the 4th floor although it is street level. We arrived at 11:30 am and check in was painfully slow in spite of only being 2 couples ahead of us unfortunately our room wasn’t ready but this was to be expected arriving quite early, I had emailed ahead asking for a high floor on block two which we were given . The room was lovely very large and£ well appointed with two double beds a lovely table and two easy chairs, a massive T.V. But sadly no English channels .There was adequate wardrobe and storage units but only 5 coat hangers which is no way enough for two people! The bathroom was really big and lovely big walk in shower and lots of complimentary toiletries. there was a kettle in the room but no cups which seemed pointless I don’t mind supplying my own tea and coffee but don’t expect to have to take cups too! On the downside we had to get 3 different lifts to the restaurant,,one down to reception level and very long walk the breadth of floor 4 to then take another lift down to floor 2 in block one, then down in another lift to floor 0 to the restaurant. Meal times were chaotic never enough tables for two people wishing to dine on their own and not be sat at a table for 4 or 6 with strangers. There was always a wide option of food available but it was only of poor quality and was only just warm,( there was one microwave but for a hotel with 500 rooms nowhere near enough. Entertaining was reasonably good and a variety each evening along with bingo on 3 nights. The staff are lovely and very friendly and helpful. The gardens and pool area are lovely with lots of beds and the children’s area is wonderful. Would we stay again highly unlikely just far too big for us and meal times were just a nightmare

Newly refurbished so everything looks excellent. Few grips.. there a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee available?? The breakfast and dinner options were not the best. You have to find your own seating in the dining areas and the seats available are limited. Other than that the place is like brand new and there been no expense spared on the refurbishment.
