Aquarius Motel Belmont

STAY AWAY fromAquarius Motel Belmont don’t be desperate to get a bed. This place is disgusting. We were unable to book accommodation due to requiring ground floor for our elderly parents. We needed two rooms initially accommodation had 3 flights of stair. We Rang a parent company Lakeview Motor Inn who booked us into Aquarius saying it is a basic room but no details to check out until we paid for the two rooms. The room has not been cleaned for a length of time and obviously not since the last guest, the sheets are appalling, nothing washed or nothing cleaned. Stains all over the bed, bed base torn, mould everywhere, has a tv and fridge but no jug, has a microwave. Mould and torn curtains. Shower leaked all night, tiles off, No toilet paper. The pictures of our room only, our elderly parents room was equally as bad. Basic accommodation it is not as I am sure prisoners have a better room. DO NOT Book you waste your money. We did not pay basic rate as it was Saturday night and last minute so paid a good price. STAY AWAY

If I could rate this place with a zero, I definitely would. We booked two rooms as we were attending a function nearby and wanted something within walking distance. From the moment we stepped out of our car, I stood there looking at a very unmaintained and rundown motel and the first thing that came to my mind was the movie “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”. We walked into the reception area where my partner had to call a mobile number for a guy to come out to serve us. The reception area was full of furniture which seemed to be hand picked from kerbside collections, empty beer bottles left on the floor, and a packet of unopened Coles toilet paper which we had to open to supply both rooms with toilet paper as it was obviously a self serve option for this service. After waiting ten minutes we got the keys to our rooms. We never had a problem staying at a budget hotel, it was close to the function we were attending, but utter filth is another level. Apart from the razor blade left on the bed, the room stunk from being locked up as there was only a door into the room and no windows, the floors didn’t seem to be cleaned in months, there were dead bugs on the bed, and the furnishings had handles hanging off with only one screw etc. We left our bag on the bed and left the room within two minutes of opening the door. In general, this motel seemed like a halfway house for drug *******. We spent the next two hours at the function trying to rebook elsewhere but nothing was available within twenty kilometres. In the end, we returned after the function, grabbed the bags out of the two rooms, and drove back home to the Central Coast. NEVER AGAIN. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN BY THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES
