Premier Inn Bedford Town Centre

Don't let the depressing foyer put you off, once you're in, the hotel is great. Great location by the river, great staff, comfy rooms and a great breakfast! Not too far to walk from the station either (and along the river is lovely)! I enjoyed watching all the rowers from my bedroom window.

My Dad has been staying at the hotel for the last week as he lost his home in a fire. The staff at the Premier Inn Bedford have made him feel so welcome, the service has been exceptional, The food is great and the staff have been extremely accomodating and kind making this awefull time in his life more barible. Thank you too all the team.

Beautiful location by the riverside, the room was ok. Terrible food, i had the chicken Makhanni Curry with rice, you can taste that this food had been microwaved, the meat was chewy and like rubber, I cannot believe that this place charges people to eat microwaved food. I asked my server who was also working in reception if the dish i had was a microwaved food, she advised that it was, well why dont you mention this to your customers before the order so that we could be giving the choice to eat elsewhere, mention it on your website.why are you charging people to eat here, when no prep or love was put into these dishes. Be honest, had I have known, i would have eaten at McDonald's or Burger King than the garbage I had to eat. No car park which is chargeable, but they do give you some kind of discount before you leave. Now If you like a place with bad, terrible microwaved food, apart from the fish along with broken lifts, shortage of staff but a beautiful location, then this is the place for you. Otherwise stay clear of it. Do not waste your hard earned cash in this place, if I could rate this place a zero i would.

Shortage of staff. Extremely long delay in checking in. Kitchen with long waiting time to eat. Noisy dirty room that stunk of Sweat and Urine. Broken Air conditioning unit in your room with a window that did not open. Broken Lift. Seriously absolutely Garbage.

The view and the ambience is top notch. The breakfast and helpfulness of the entire staff. The only regret is that our visit was short but we plan to go back

Great stay in Bedford. 10 minute walk to train station. Breakfast was lovely, it is worth paying to get the full breakfast to have choice of hot food as well as continental.

The hotel is over looking the river fantastic views if you get them. Staff were very accommodating. We had an issue with our room personal preference Hannah moved us straight away with no issues. Breakfast was delicious. Convenient to town. Can't wait to stay again.

I booked this hotel for a relative who had flown over from Switzerland. She has stayed there before and found it good and central to everything. I was astonished when she phoned the following day to say that there was no toilet paper - not just in her room but the whole hotel!! On arrival she had noticed there was none but on asking the following day she was informed that they had NO supplies. The woman said she was very embarrassed and they hadn't had any for several days. This is not acceptable. She heard other guests also complaining saying that they were going to use the towels!! How hard is it to send someone to the shops in the Harpur centre for some?? Absolutely ridiculous!!

Condensing this as its tiring explaining it all. Gave me a room I didn't want, told me it'd be changed the next morning. When I went to swap they said they no longer could, and that they should've arranged it the night before. I left for the day came back at midnight and instead of a clean room they hadn't address the towels/sheets situation. I had to speak to them 3 times for a stay that was only two nights. Premier Inns are supposed to be reliable. This was anything but. I lost sleep by not being able to go to bed whilst they sorted things out. They made assurances that they failed to deliver on. And a really specific problem I had with the towels being covered in lint (that they said they would address but didn't) meant that I had to shower twice and in the end attended a wedding covered in bits of lint.
