"Good location,and plenty of Parking.My only issue was with the shower as you have to hold the Spray whilst standing in the bath,but for a few nights Ok,but expect more for £120 a night Hotel."

"This 3 night stay was arranged for my birthday. First impressions great, lovely place. Owner quite abrupt but welcoming enough. We were shown to the Southwold Suite which was lovely. During first couple of hrs room got colder, no heat in rads. Went to find owner who advised the heating had just come on again. We asked how warm the large breakfast room might be the next morning as didn’t fancy sitting in the cold to eat. The owner went into great lengths to tell us how thermostats worked on radiators, by now my husband and I were pretty fed up when challenged the owner stormed off telling us to leave in the morning and he would refund our deposit. We left straight away one birthday spoilt!!!! Also no longer allowed to walk on the estate despite being advertised as 100s of acres of romantic walks as a working farm which would have meant having to go out in our car which was not the plan."

"We LOVE it here. The South Down shepherd’s hut is perfect for our family of 4. The hut is cleverly designed to have everything you need in a stylish, efficient and usable way. The site provides everything you need inside and outside of the hut. The location is gorgeous, our two little ones LOVED being on the farm. Not many places give you the chance to go see pigs and collect fresh eggs when you wake up. The field provides a secure place for the children to freely explore and play. A true gem of a place that provides a calm and wholesome stay. We cannot wait to come back."

"When we arrived the door to the hotel was locked and we heard people inside looking at us and talking very loudly. A man pointed and said “there’s two punters outside but they will go away soon”. It turns out the check in time is from 2-7pm and we had arrived at 9pm for which we apologised but the owner was very unhappy. We were scolded at the door and told we had missed phone calls from him asking when we were arriving. This was very disappointing as we are repeat customers and have stayed here before and been greeted in a friendly way. We returned because we like the hotel and area however this encounter was really rude and uncalled for. "
