Chateau Elysium

I spent 5 days in the second half of May during my honeymoon. Location is excellent. The hotel is directly on Beau Vallon Beach, you literally just have to walk out of the garden, which is also beautiful by the way. I liked the vibe of the building and enjoyed the big swimming pool. The owner, Peter and the staff are very friendly and always ready to help. Their breakfast and creole dinner are excellent. Peter made us delicious welcome drinks too. The room and the bathroom were nice and spacious. The air conditioner worked perfectly. Some renovation on the building and the rooms will, however, be necessary in the near future. Supermarkets and restaurants are within walking distance. In my opinion, Chateau Elysium is an excellent and budget-friendly alternative to a luxury hotel on Beau Vallon Beach. You have a comfy room , you have a great breakfast, you have a big swimming pool usually just for yourself, the beach is 1 minute away from your room, and plenty of restaurant options nearby. The hotel has security personnel too. Ok, there is no gym like in a five-star hotel, but do you need a gym when you are in the Seychelles? Come on. I would book again. The premises are beautiful and the location is absolutely stunning on the beach but the hotel needs major renovations/ refurbishment. The manager Peter is never there and absolutely helpless and the Induan guy is very helpful but not enough to run such a place. The sunbeds are old and dirty and no beach umbrella and the pool is totally run down. Our room n2 had an open bathroom with zero privacy, we believe it absolutely needs a door. Too expensive for what you get. Such a shame because this hotel has amazing potential if there were a management involved.

The venue was lovely. Right on the beach. Breakfast was incredible. Freshiest of fruits!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Chateau Elysium. If you are looking for a traditional hotel experience which can be very impersonal, this may not be for you, but if you are looking for a guest house, more personal experience...then this is a perfect spot. The property is set back so it feels very private. The building and grounds are very well maintained. I stayed in room 2 and had a glorious view of Beau Vallon Beach and the Indian Ocean. I loved having coffee on the balcony overlooking the property and beach. The room was not fancy (not a complaint at all) but was very clean. (I would go down for breakfast and the room was cleaned before I returned). There is a wonderful woman who prepares breakfast every morning. Sumptuous fresh tropical fruits, yogurt, juice, coffee, eggs & bacon with toast, etc. (All delicious). On some nights you can pre-order dinner which is all home cooked. The property has 24 hour security and I always felt very safe. It took me 2 minutes to get onto the beach from my room! Lots of restaurants, shops, convenience stores, and more all within walking distance. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I am grateful for the entire staff!

We spent almost week at Chateau Elysium. Its very good located on north side of Mahe, near beach House has small but nice pool. Plase is very good maintened, and we had a nice stay there, Owner is very kind and helped us with many things. We are dinner at this place which was delicius and tasty. Great place

Hotel manager was unpleasant. On meeting us he quickly guided the conversation off on few different political tangents, which seemed inappropriate at the time. Had a number of issues with his behaviour over the three days we said there, ended up feeling very uncomfortable around him & trying to avoid all contact. It’s took a long time for me to comment on this experience as it was simply one I’d rather forget. Such a shame as it’s in a great location for Beau Vallon. With some refurbishment (rooms are getting shabby) and better management it could be decent.
