Our recent stay kicked off with a dud as we were assigned Jhoenmy as our butler who was personal however he failed on the service aspect. Our tour consisted of a walk to the end of the hallway pointing to the hideaway pool and bar then he took us to our room where the bracelets didn’t work for my wife and I to get into our rooms. We were never shown where the diamond club lounge was, the diamond club beach bar nor told what times things open or close on top of that when we asked him for things we had to follow up 2 or even 3 times to get things accomplished (additional pillows, restocking the mini fridge, towels ect). I finally messaged him and told him we felt forgotten, and he started to get fired up and then told me to get a new butler and when I did he came in yelling at me and had to have two other employees push him out of the room (most unprofessional thing I have ever seen) while I just sat there not saying a word back to him. A day and a half later we were assigned a new butler and WOW I wish we had been assigned Lenny first as he was amazing. All the issues we were having he covered immediately and he gave us an update on where things where, what time things were open and even get us directed to the best spot to have dinner the first night he was with us. 100% ask for Lenny as he is AMAZING! Lenny checked in on us when we got home to make sure we made it back safely and I have never had a butler do that before (we have stayed at a lot of resorts over the years). Just a great person all around This leads me to Juan at the Hideaway Pool Bar he is DA MAN!!!! Every time we saw him he would be yelling “how are you doing my friends?” and when we came up to the bar he knew what the guys were having to drink and making all sorts of stuff for our wives to try (Mango Mojito was their favorites) and he 100% made our days. We told him we plan on coming back solely because of him and Lenny (who are brother in laws). We asked Juan to grab a picture with him and he quickly told us to come behind the bar and grab the bottles we kept asking for and was fully of energy. After the picture we showed him and he quickly connected with me on whats app and asked for the picture to be sent to him as well. My wife and I did the Hydro Therapy at the spa as part of the diamond club package and boy the cold plunge will take your breath away and I think the employee guiding us loved the interactions (he was a great guy but I cannot remember his name). Then my wife did a massage with Rose Mary and she had nothing but nice things to say about her and said a trip back to see her is in the cards next visit. Baron in Dorado was by far the best waiter we had the entire time and we wanted to make sure to give him a shot out The resort as a whole had a lot to offer with great food, updated rooms, and great entertainment crews at the pools. Yes there was issues at the start with the first butler but Juan, Lenny, Rose Mary and Baron made me move this

Excelente experiencia. Buen trato, buena comida, y entretenimiento. Todo lo que se puede desear cuando buscas hospedarte en un hotel. Nuestro butler, Ozuna hizo un excelente trabajo, muy amable. Los restaurants hicieron lo mejor de lo mejor. El restaurante que más me gustó fue el Zen Teppanyaki, y Under the Sea. En el Grazie, el mozo nos dio un buen entretenimiento, tiene mucho talento para cantar. Jenny, del Buffet Marché nos ofreció un servicio de calidad. Definitivamente es un lugar que nos gustaría visitar nuevamente. Altamente recomendado.

This resort is so awesome! I cannot say enough good things. The food, drinks and ambiance. Everyone is so polite! I was super hesitant before coming because of all,the bad reviews but im so happy I came. First of all big shout out to Jose at the martini bar. Such a sweet guy who will go above and beyond to help you out. Makes the best drinks. Very nice.and makes you feel like family. Definitely recommend you come see him. Tell him I sent you Also Juan Diego and Elizabeth from scores bar. Really great people abd they make you feel like family. They listen to all your needs and are quick to give you whatever you order. Had a super awesome experience with dano and Jenny in the kitchen who were part of the cooks. Very sweet people. They bent over backwards to make sure I was happy All,of the staff were super pleasant. Tried their best to speak English it helped that I knew Spanish Also I must mention,judith from guest services and mariela from housekeeping! They helped me so much

We have recently returned from a stay at this hotel and are incredibly confused by the 5-star reviews and the hotel’s 5-star rating. This is not remotely a 5-star hotel. The food is disgusting - lukewarm, bland and open to flies. The facilities are old and tired (with frayed/bleached towels at the pool and in the rooms, missing/cracked tiles, and mouldy walls). Cockroaches were present in hallways and rooms. Across the hotel, there is a significant lack of air conditioning (making even attempting to eat very uncomfortable). With only a couple of exceptions, the staff across the resort are miserable and rude. If you want any service at all, be prepared to tip well as otherwise, they’re not interested. Communication was an issue throughout our stay due to the lack of English-speaking staff. The beach was covered with black seaweed for the majority of our stay, making the beach inaccessible. During our stay, the air conditioning across the shared areas of the hotel was broken and food (which should have been temperature controlled) was left out for hours in extreme heat (leaving people open to food poisoning). Health and safety and hygiene practices seemed nonexistent. While the hotel may look impressive at first glance, it doesn’t take long for the flaws to show. A dreadful holiday from start to finish avoid at all costs! If the hotel management would like evidence of what we’ve said here, you’re welcome to it.
