On top of everything else Rokpa has a movie night every Friday at 6pm and it is served with a seriously delicious platter to snack on! Plus, all the food is good and they have a beautiful garden to chill out in and hang with the resident pup or just read a book on the swing.

I am currently staying at the ROKPA Guest House from July 12th and will be here until July 28th for a family vacation. I wanted to share my appreciation for the wonderful experience we have had so far. The staff warmly welcomed us, and the check-in process was smooth and quick. front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Our stay has been very comfortable and enjoyable. The room is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing us with all the amenities we need. The housekeeping staff have done an excellent job of keeping our room tidy throughout our stay. Overall, we are still having a wonderful time and truly appreciate the efforts of the staff in making our vacation memorable. We look forward to the rest of our stay and will gladly recommend the ROKPA Guest House to others. Additionally, we are excited about our upcoming stay at the ROKPA Guest House in the future.

Very nice and professional staff. The rooms are clean, big enough, luminous. Everything is clean and tidy. Tasty food to enjoy in a beautiful and calm garden. The beds are comfortable. In the room there is a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee. I will return here for sure when I come again to Nepal.

Ich komme jedes Jahr gerne wieder für mehrere Wochen! Ich schätze mein schönes Zimmer, die immer freundlichen Mitarbeiter (ein grosser Teil macht eine Lehre im Hotel, im Restaurant oder in der Küche), den schönen Garten mit der guten Küche und die Nähe zum Stupa. Dass aktuell am Nachbarhaus gebaut wird (geht vorbei) und die bellenden Hunde ausserhalb des Geländes kann man nicht dem Hotel anlasten. Ich komme auf jede Fall wieder. Herzlichen Dank allen für den Superservice.

This is a lovely guest house, not only providing a great service with nice bright clean rooms with en suite bathrooms, excellent food and friendly staff but supports local initiatives to help disadvantaged children, women and others who benefit from in house training in hospitality.

The guesthouse is an excellent place for exploring Boudhanath and the surrounding streets and monasteries. The room was clean with a hot shower, and the bed was the most comfortable we experienced in our trip to Nepal! Kathmandu is a loud city, and the airport is nearby, so you might need to bring ear plugs for sleeping. The garden outside is well maintained and the perfect place for lunch, or a delicious cake in a calm environment. The guesthouse offers a training environment for young people, and all of the staff were exceptionally professional, helpful and attentive. There's also a giftshop selling craft items from the ROKPA Women's Workshop which is definitely worth checking out. Overall, our stay was amazing and we wish we could have stayed longer!

I stayed here for a night whilst visiting the religious sites nearby. The location was perfectly settled near the large stupa, however off the main road so cultivated a calm and quiet space. The breakfast provided a great selection of local and western cuisine. I would highly recommend staying here.

Eigentlich ein schönes Guesthouse mit netten Mitarbeitern. Eigentlich ….. Tagsüber von zwei Seiten sehr laute Presslufthämmer und nachts wird man überlaut bis spät in die Nacht mit Geburtstagsmusik bedröhnt. Die Stärke des ROKPA - nämlich die Ruhe im Garten - ist leider tagsüber und nachts Vergangenheit. Schade, aber da werden wir uns wohl eine andere Unterkunft suchen müssen.

Rokpa is absolutely one of the most special places on earth. There is something so good and charming about the energy there and the earnestness of their staff, and the guesthouse's central courtyard is pure oasis in the heart of frantic Kathmandu. Also, I had some of my best lunches and dinners here. I highly recommend the thali set, the spicy tofu nuggets, and the kung pao chicken.
