Courtyard Baton Rouge Acadian Centre/LSU Area

Room is spacious, cool, quiet, and CLEAN. The bed is comfortable and the TV easy to operate. The check in was done in less tgan a minute. The staff was friendly and the dispensers on the bath provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash soap. The refrigerator was handy as there is no complimentary breakfast.

They're 5 generations behind the current...I mean, they still have the red carpet...but it was clean...so I'm not going to complain. An Outback is int he parking lot - so that's easy enough - and there's a Trader Joes down the block. The two gals who checked me in - very nice.

This place is clean and convenient to LSU. The mini market onsite (at check in) saved me a trip to CVS. Major props to front desk clerk Shannon or Shanna who was there every time we entered or exited. They might have been short staffed but she was very friendly and professional despite working long hours.

Rooms were clean, the beds and pillows were good, and the staff is nice. But the location is terrible - it’s sandwiched between I10 and train tracks. Our first room faced the tracks and a train horn blew us out of our seats. We requested a room change, which they did promptly and politely, to an interior room that faced the courtyard between wings. If you want a quiet night’s sleep ask for an interior room.

I will always look for a Courtyard by Marriot after my stay in Baton Rouge. It was the best overnight at a motel I've ever had. The room felt very secure and quiet and was super clean. The bed was marvelously comfortable. But I think I was most impressed by the fact that there is an interior courtyard that only residents have access to so it was a great place to get some exercise after a long day's drive. If it had been warmer, I'd have gone swimming too. The people at the desk for warm and friendly and the lounge area was so spacious and welcoming - there was even a fire and Christmas trees. And to have a complimentary breakfast was a great addition. We had previously booked at another Courtyard Marriot in Baton Rouge but were leary once we found out there was absolutely no on-site parking. You had to walk two blocks from a parking lot, carrying your luggage and had to pay extra for parking. We are in our 70s and have some mobility issues and we called the first booking to find out if we could cancel without penalties even though our confirmation said we could not. The gentleman and the desk said no problem, no penalties and we received a full refund within two days. We promptly booked at the Acadian Center location and were warmly welcomed. So it's Courtyard by Marriot for us from now on when there's one in the city where we're stopping over.

We stayed at the Courtyard Acadian Center/LSU area due to it location near the LSU campus. At first the location seems a bit odd, tucked away near the main hwy overpass, next to an Outback. While the hotel appears to be a bit isolated within Baron Rouge, if you take a left out of the hotel and head to Perkins Ave, a short block away, there are tons of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself was clean and nice your typical Courtyard, no issues with the hotel at all. The location can seem a bit odd at first but it is in fact near many of Baton Rouge’s nicer locales.

On a road trip, I stopped here for a night using Marriott Bonvoy rewards. The only interaction with staff was to ask where the best entrance to the room was located. The bathroom was spotless. The bright flashlight revealed no hair on the floor, or stains on the toilet sides. Also note that I felt safe parking on-site. I would stay here again.

We stayed at this Courtyard on the way home to Colorado. The entire stay was great. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The staff gave us travel ideas travelling through Texas as well as a great restaurant recommendation in Baton Rouge.

Glad we listen to others who came to visit LSU they told us to stay here. People who work here are so nice and go beyond to make you happy, free little breakfast with bagels, muffins, yogurt and drinks. The beds and pillows are super comfy and we are only 12 min away from from LSU.
